Maybe I over-reacted but I'm sick to the back teeth of bloody footballs landing in my garden. It's several times every day. The slapper next door has her front garden concreted. All the kids end up in there battering a ball about. But the prevailing wind means every time it goes high in the air it blows over into my garden.

 

So today, boom. Football crashes off the roof of my car. And I watch as 10 year old just climbs over the fence and into my garden to retrieve it. Then 10 minutes later. Boom. Ball is over again. Then 14 year just climbs over my fence to retrieve it. It's not so much the ball. It's the fact they all seem to think they have the godamned right just to jump over into my place to get it back. When I was a kid I always went up to the person's door in a sheepish manner with loads of apologies and asked if I could go into their garden to get my ball back. Then I moved miles back from that person's house to make sure I didn't accidentally kick it in there again. Today they don't seem to care. What's yours is mine seems to be their motto. :arrr:

There's an absolutely fabulous one near me. It has lakes and walled gardens and everything! But it's run by The Church of Scotland and is only for real religious types. :(

They are a type of ground spike, that are made so that no matter what there will always be one spike pointing upwards. That'll definately stop them kids if you line some up along your fence. :lol:
