Many people think they were a one hit wonder with Half As Nice but they had 6 hit singles and 2 studio albums over an 18 month period before they split. Andy and keyboard player then formed FAIRWEATHER and had a couple of singles and an album before they too split, including the hit single Natural Sinner #6 in 1970. June 14, 200817 yr I,ve only heard Two of them. Bend me shape me is a top song but not a touch on If paradise is half as nice. In my opinion, one of the best songs of all time. ;)
June 14, 200817 yr Quite liked Amen Corner in the late 60's, Andy Fairweather-Low had a distinctful voice. I liked High in the sky, (If paradise is) half as nice, Bend me shape me and Hello Suzie. Remember his solo hit in '75 "Wide eyed and legless", as well.
June 15, 200817 yr i thought 'gin house blues' was their best by far, ballsy, bluesy, sombre, quite ironic then that the rest of their material was quite lightweight pop. tbi i always prefered love affair, although 'bend me shape me' was good. '(if paradise is) half as nice' was possibly the most uninspired track ever, just soppy repete lyrics.
