I really liked Black Man Ray and had that and KIng in a Catholic Style on 7". Apart from Wishful Thinking I'm not familiar with the rest of their output

Great band, have their Greatest Hits collection on cd

loved black man way and christian

They got back together for the recent liverpool no.1s album

and did a cover of Starry-Eyed.

My faves were Black man ray, wishful thinking.

In terms of chart peaks, this band was like a bouncing ball.

They'd have a big hit followed by minor hits then repeat.

Nowadays if bands had chart peaks like this they would have their contracts teminated.

I liked them, especially their early songs. They had a fairly unique style but by the mid-80s I thought they had become a little bit too samey.

I had the following singles:

African And White

Tragedy And Mystery (12")

Black Man Ray

You Did Cut Me

Christian was, IMO, far and away their finest single, although Working with fire and steel, Black Man Ray and Wishful Thinking were great, too.
