I HATE them they are sooo boring! and depressing!

Just to try and prove a balanced view of things, if you dislike the band and fancy a pop at them or a whinge, here is the place!

I can't say I hate them as I actually like some singles (although for the life of me - the only one I can think of right now is Speed of Sound thingy!) I heard Violet Hill for the first time this afternoon and although its not great - I've heard worse - the vid actually reminds me of Take That's Patience in parts (with them all wandering around in the wilderness - but then a piano appears with them all taking a turn on it - so that analogy goes out of the window).

 

I just cannot stand Chris Martin - he reminds me too much of those sanctimonious, boring old prats Bono and Sting. Next to them, Phil Collins looks positively ... interesting!

I don't necessarily hate them, just a mere strong dislike of them.

 

I can't stand Chris Martin as a vocalist. :lol: I don't mind their music on a whole [Viva La Vida is brilliant :wub: ], but he really is the bad cherry on the naff tasting cake, and especially when his falsetto is in full swing, like 'Fix You'= the cause of insomnia. That aside, I don't mind The Scientist and Yellow.

I don't hate them, of course. There's nothing to hate. I could say I hate some artists, but that's no Coldplay, for sure. I even like them much more, then I did, with this new album.

 

I maybe thought they are a bit boring, but I liked enough songs, even before the new album. I love bands which still plays their music using musical instruments and which didn't start to experiment with some kind of electronic or hip hop music.

 

And about Chris voice... I don't have any problems with it, it's not irritating to me at all. Well, I listen Placebo, so maybe I just love weird and different voices.

I admit, I like a few songs.

I know a few people, well actually I know a few people who know people who hate coldplay because of that one line in 40 year of virgin. "you know how I know you're gay? you like coldplay"
