Nadal lost his first service Game in the second set, but came back to break Federer twice to win the set 6-4.

 

That was a brilliant match by two Tennis players at the top of their game albeit one who may well be at the end of his domination of the Sport, beaten by the younger fitter upcoming opponent who is set two dominate the sport in the way John McEnroe did after Bjorn Borg.

 

Well done to Nadal who held his nerve in the final set when Federer was in the ascendancy for the first time in the match, but ultimately Nadal got a fourth wind to finally break Federer's service & hold out to take the 5th set 9-7 in the near dark.

Amazing final to end the tournament. I was cheering on Nadal purely because he's never dominated the grass court before but I think whoever won tonight would've been classed a worthy winner. However if Nadal had have lost it would've been extremely harsh considering he would've won at least 6 games in each set..

 

I'm gonna miss Wimbledon ;o

Yesterday's final averaged 7.4m (38.8%) over the eight hours from 13.30 to 21.30. :o It even got a five minute peak of 13.3m at 21.15, which is massive.

I'm glad Nadal won it, changes are good! :cheer:

100% dedicated Nadal fan here :) Stayed up until 6:30 in the morning over here watching it, determined for Rafa to win :D
