Posted July 6, 200817 yr www.blocparty.com the website is only compiled as a countdown... but what to?
July 6, 200817 yr Rumours suggest it'll be news on their third LP - with maybe a track to download or stream or possibly a youtube vid of them in the studio.
July 6, 200817 yr Author I'm hoping it will be a free download of a new song plus an update on the new album.
July 6, 200817 yr :o Whatever it is I can't wait! They're quite possibly my favourite band and whatever the countdown is for, I have no doubt that it will be AMAZING!
July 6, 200817 yr Oh damn! I'm gonna be in school when whatever it is happens. I hope it's not a limited edition thing because if it is, by the time I get home, I bet it will all be gone! :(
July 6, 200817 yr I just went on wikipedia (I'm getting really excited about this whole thing!) and it says that it's probably to coincide with he 7/7 bombings. I thought of this too, because lots of the songs on AWITC were about this or similar things. Hopefully some new material!
July 6, 200817 yr Author I've heard that its a countdown to an announcement that they will be splitting up. i would cry.
July 6, 200817 yr As the website is currently just that page there are rumours that it's just to a new website...
July 6, 200817 yr Author As the website is currently just that page there are rumours that it's just to a new website... thinking about it that could be quite right i hope not though, that would be a dissapointment.
July 6, 200817 yr Im gonna predict it's a new single, maybe available on itunes or something. Probably totally wrong, but we'll see
July 7, 200817 yr Author even more waiting i watched it countdown from 1 minute and when it finished it just came up with ZANE LOWE BBC RADIO ONE 97-99 FM www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 07 JULY 2008 7:30PM GMT

July 7, 200817 yr Bloc Party irritate fans with 'countdown' Bloc Party have angered fans by posting a cryptic countdown on their website, Blocparty.com, which simply revealed a plug for a radio show when the time reached zero at 11am (BST) today. Fans have e-mailed NME.COM to voice their displeasure at the stunt. It was speculated that Bloc Party may give away new music when the countdown reached zero. Instead, at 11am the countdown disappeared to reveal a radio plug for Zane Lowe's show on BBC Radio 1, set to air tonight (July 7) at 7:30pm. "It's a bit pointless," wrote NME.COM user 'Jackie'. "They could have just put up the info about the show on their website and not got our hopes up about the possibility of hearing new music straightaway." There is no information yet on Zane Lowe's BBC homepage as to what will feature on tonight's show, but many fans who contacted NME.COM are still expecting new material. http://www.nme.com/news/bloc-party/37883
July 7, 200817 yr I don't know why people are so annoyed - it could have just een a new website! I can't wait to tune into Zane tonight...hopefully with some new material
July 7, 200817 yr Well if it's at 7.30 then that's when Zane Lowe normally plays the 'Hottest Record In The World', so i'd say it's fairly likely that he's going to play a new track...
July 7, 200817 yr Author i was irritated myself. still looking forward to Zane Lowe though, i havent listened to him for awhile.
