Maximo Park are very good, 'The Coast Is Always Changing' is my favourite from them I think, I didn't think much to the album tracks from their last album.

Sufjan's great allthough I only own the 'Illinois' album, I should get the other one sometime, his song namings are great.

The Shins are very good as well, but I always found Stereophonics very overrated. :(

Great so far. :D

I've always thought that they had quite a few very good individual songs (3-4 an album generally) but the rest is a bit boring, just pleasant enough. However the release of 'Viva La Vida Or....' has cemented their place in this top 40 - I think it's by far their best work.

A band who'd probably be higher if I knew more of their back catalogue. I should buy some more of their albums however there are so many acts I think about this and only so much money and time I have I haven't done it yet. I've certainly never heard a bad Cure song though.

Purely for the sheer genious that is 'Discovery'. I've always found their other stuff fairly difficult to get into however every song on 'Discovery' is wonderful, they did once say they'd release every song on it, and there's certainly nothing that isn't single worthy.

I may find them a tad overrated but I do think they're a damn good band (especially for singles) and they're incredible live. I own two of their albums, though don't really rate 'Absolution' that highly... I tend to find their lesser performing singles are very underrated and amongst their best.

Pleased there's another Shins fan on BJ!
Shins arent that good, in fact they were pretty dull at Reading last year i hardly noticed they were on stage.

One of the most recognisable dance acts of all time, and also one of my favourite. I find some of their stuff a lot more accessible than others but they're another band who don't really have any bad material.

Although they've only ever released one album (which only has 10 tracks on it) they still make it this high and I kind of feel I should put them higher still. However with only one album I can't really... Although they've only had one album it is stunning and one of my top 3 ever. I adore every single second on it, it's so good for an indie-electronica album and still feels fresh today after 6 years and so many listens. They say they'll make another album though it does keep getting put on hold. Even their cover of the horrendous 'Against All Odds' was ok.

I've seen a lot of people say they're not too good live.... :(

Thanks for all comments so far, much appreciated! :D ^_^

The Postal Service. I do belive it's the vocalist in Death Cab For Cutie in that band isn't it?

And my version of the album has 11 tracks on it. :o

Like the other older acts in here, they're probably only so low because I don't know all of their material. Even so, I tend to find them (and Morrissey) a tad overrated. Maybe if I was around at the time I'd give them the appreciation they probably deserve.

A band who I've only properly got into recently, however they're great and very underrated considering how much they've produced over the years. I think their first album is their best, though they're produced decent stuff all the time, the songs I've heard from last years album were still pretty decent.

One of two of the recent wave of indie bands that have made it to a decent level of success that I really like (the other up soon). As soon as I heard 'Darts of Pleasure' for the first time I loved it. Then 'Take Me Out' came out and I knew they were going to be a fantastic band. I was right as both albums are great. The second is vastly underrated. I do prefer it to their debut but c**p single choices didn't help in any way.

Their debut album defines magnificance, it's been one of my favourite albums ever pretty much since the day it was released. I adore this band and are probably a bit low but meh... Their follow-up released earlier this year is also great, but it lacks something. As a collection of songs it's wonderful, 7 of the 11 are fantastic (for some reason the singles they picked aren't in there, watch them go for 'Big Dog' next <_<) yet it doesn't ever feel like an album. They've almost tried to be so different and use so many styles it just ends up soundlike like a compilation album, albeit one of Fyfe singing with 11 different bands.

Favourite track:

Trains To Brazil

Also worth a listen: Last Kiss, Made Up Love Song#43, Sao Paolo (is actually my favourite, but the lack of a full-length 12 minute video means I demoted it...)
