Posted June 2, 200619 yr 16m well worth it. 12m goes to Manchester United. 4m goes to Lyn Oslo. And WHERE will he fit in, in their midfeild ?!! Waste of money. Even if they do have a lot of it.
June 2, 200619 yr Man Utd have just been given 14 Million. Fair play to United though I mean he isn't proven in the premiership and he might not even make the grade so that 14 million could turn out to be a great deal.
June 2, 200619 yr yes great for Man United in terms of the cash but what are they doing with it !! They are already behind Chelsea in terms of squad strength and depth but yet arent making moves to sort out their midfield. They need to sign big and sign quickly as if they expect to challenge next season with a joke midfield they have no chance.

From the rumours circulating around I think that they'll probably use the money towards Ribery from Marseille and probably then look towards France again for another midfielder.
June 3, 200619 yr My two friends who are fanatical Man Utd season ticket holders reckon that Patrick Viera will sign for the club after the World Cup. Still Chelsea FC are killing English football, anyone who signs for that club is a money grabbing glory hunter IMHO. I hope Mikel rots in the reserves (like Shaun Wright-Phillips has done this year).
June 3, 200619 yr I have never heard of Mikel, what nationality is he and what position does he play???
June 3, 200619 yr He's Nigerian I think, and Vieria would be a good buy for Man Utd as he'd be theie new Roy Keane, but I don't think that Arsenal fans would be best pleased.
June 3, 200619 yr Chelsea don't matter any more, with their absurd spending they have become little more than a freakshow, no one beside a few gloryhunting kids take their "achievements" seriously and the trophies they win are totally devalued so the REAL champions in football are the team that come 2nd, the west london freakshow will likely win the next 10 titles but they are meaningless given they have been bought over the counter Its a 19 team league now and the true champions are the team that finishes directly below Chelsea
June 3, 200619 yr So already this summer they have spent £67m + Ballack And they want to be taken seriously lol
June 3, 200619 yr So already this summer they have spent £67m + Ballack And they want to be taken seriously lol  It really is a complete and utter joke now. The fact that they overturn their squad each pre-season by splashing out £70m says it all.
June 3, 200619 yr Looks like Drogba and Crespo will be going then ... Maybe Crespo as he hasn't done much anyways but I think they will keep Drogba Apparently they are also after Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and a guy called Joaquin a Spanish winger and also it looks like Micah Richards will be going there too so its looking like they will top 100m this summer :o
June 3, 200619 yr Drogba isn't happy at Chelsea though and management aren't too happy with him either, after he failed to turn up for a summer training camp or something. Crespo's been pretty much dead wood for the past 2 years as well. But WHY do they want Joaquin? They have plenty of midfielders and now they've got Kalou he can cover on the wing if they run short. It's seriously out of hand now.

We are after Duff so hopefully that will come off and apparently Arsenal want SWP or SWP will go back to Man City on loan as part of the Richards deal The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that they just buy players they have no real intention of using just so that other clubs can't have them

It's just the whole case of buying world class players that they don't need, all over again.
