August 5, 200816 yr McFly have a single out the same week as Will and James, so no doubt they'll have about 5 different versions on offer, I doubt Will will get no1 anyway as he doesn't seem to be much of a singles seller now anyway, it's also very different now with the downloads isn't it? Well neither are single sellers really, and I also think it'd be pretty likely McFly get to #1, but we'll see. I think that James Morrison's material is likely to be strong though, and i'm sure he'll get support from R1 and R2 (and Will most likely too). And both will get heavy music video rotation too, so at the end of the day I think it's more likely to be down to the wide-spread appeal of the song and how well they promote it.
August 6, 200816 yr I think top 5 for the single, top 3 for the album, depending on the conditions that week. Wouldn't surprise me either if it stays around the top 3 or even hits no.1 again as the weeks go on, he's a consistent seller. It's hard to say with Will really, re: sales figures, since he so tremendously upset the orthodoxy of 'second album does terribly' by selling even more than his first. Keep On also had a very strong opening week despite the very strange single choice of Switch It On, which only managed no.5, and the fact he'd been away for 2 years. I think there's a real affection for him that is highly uncommon, and with a song as good as Changes, the sky is the limit really.
August 6, 200816 yr I hate this song ... Might be because I cant stand Will Young, I dunno. I dont think the single will go to number 1 but I think the album will, no probs.. Generally speaking, with Will Young the only question is which I'll do first - vomit, or fall into a coma! :) The only half-decent song I've ever heard from him was 'Switch It On' (the one with the 'Top Gun' video), perhaps because it actually had a decent beat...

Well there's always one. Thank goodness most people on here can give their opinion on an artist's music (good or bad) without such remarks. For the record vidcapper I ain't too fond of your favs vocal ability (or should I say lack of it) but I'm sure I could comment on it in a much more mature way. :P

August 6, 200816 yr Generally speaking, with Will Young the only question is which I'll do first - vomit, or fall into a coma! :) You'll be glad to know he's putting in a lot of personal appearances this year to promote his new album on TV and the radio, so I hope you like long sleeps and waking up to the taste of your own sick ^_^
August 6, 200816 yr Will Young back! Oh Noooooo! :puke2: I was hoping we'd seen the last of the stupid smirk and mouselike squeaky voice Edited August 6, 200816 yr by Euro Music

August 6, 200816 yr You'll be glad to know he's putting in a lot of personal appearances this year to promote his new album on TV and the radio, so I hope you like long sleeps and waking up to the taste of your own sick ^_^ I was thinking that, a comfy bed or a rather large sick bucket should be on Vidcapper's must have list, if we don't see him for a while, we'll know he's chosen the 'coma' option  Seriously though, not everyone's going to like Will or his new material, and even as a fan, I'm not confident of him topping the charts with either single or album, but I'd be very, very, very, suprised if he flopped. I think he'll sell continuously and be up there with the more prolific sellers of the year. :D
August 6, 200816 yr ooh the knives are out already  :nono: We can cope Mart!n, we've gotten mighty strong over the last 7 years and so has Will.

August 6, 200816 yr Love how Euromusic has edited his post and added another derogatory and totally needless sentence, a whole 8 mins later, how sad.
August 6, 200816 yr I'm getting flashbacks to 2005 on 'CC' when everyone was raving about Will Young's terrible comeback single 'Switch It On' or 'Off' or whatever it was!...don't believe the hype... <_<
August 6, 200816 yr I'm getting flashbacks to 2005 on 'CC' when everyone was raving about Will Young's terrible comeback single 'Switch It On' or 'Off' or whatever it was!...don't believe the hype... <_< Why don't you just listen to it & make your own mind up? From the poll & the comments most people seem to like it. If you don't fair enough. Switch It On was disliked by a lot of Will fans I can assure you but Keep On still had huge sales Edited August 6, 200816 yr by truly talented
August 6, 200816 yr I'm getting flashbacks to 2005 on 'CC' when everyone was raving about Will Young's terrible comeback single 'Switch It On' or 'Off' or whatever it was!...don't believe the hype... <_< Well he DARED to make his comeback single DIFFERENT to his normal stuff and was actually good and different but it seems his fanbase will mostly just buy his ballads though as much as I like them I like it when artists do something different but Robbie and Will's fans just want them to do the same thing it seems.. Not that I'm complaining as I like Will's normal stuff but sometimes their fans remind of the way most people's taste on Buzzjack works and I mean basically being allergic to anything other than what they're normally spoonfed by The Hits and commercial radio but replace them with Radio 2 ballads instead. I'm not pointing to any fellow Will fans here btw :P
August 6, 200816 yr I do love the way people pre-judge even though they don't listen to his music and have to resort to personal remarks to hide their ignorance. Whatever... With any luck his album will be up against someone like Dido or U2, who'll chop him into mincemeat... He was vying with Dido when he released Friday's Child and she couldn't do it then - doubt she'll do it now. Just editing to add the word mincemeat to Vidcapper's wonderful post which I inadvertently cut off ...wouldn't like him to think I was misquoting him. That's true, but then again, most fans become fans because they're attracted to a particular style or voice or both. If the style changes, then some move on. Will's gone with a radio friendly up tempo ballad style this time, which is unlikely to frighten the horses and will pretty much please his existing fans, plus maybe bring some back to the fold and hopefully, make some new fans too.. :D I can understand he's not everyone's cup of tea, who is? but it all gets so petty and childish with silly snipes, designed to do what exactly? If you don't like him, vote him top 40 in the poll and get over it, it doesn't matter a hill of beans anyway.
August 6, 200816 yr I think he is brilliant  The song is quite a grower I think, I didn't like it at first and thought it was quite disappointing but now I can't stop playing it. Commercial rafdio and R2 will be all over it - it's a song made for that type of radio. Radio 1 will probably ignore it though  I think the album will definately be #1 but the single top 3 personally.
