Had two HUGE top 10 hits in the chart around the time of the millennium, both trance remakes of older songs:

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - The Power Of Love 2000 (Rob Searle remix)

N-Trance - Set You Free 2001 (Rob Searle remix)

But seems to have disappeared since, a shame because those remixes were amazing. Ok, they don't beat the originals but I still love them!

Is he still remixing, or was it just a pseudonym for someone else?

I prefer those 2 remixes to the originals. He was a great remixer, wish he'd return, but he'd probably flop unless he changed his sound.

His version of 'Set You Free' was 'adaquate'. Not a massive fan of the track, but appreciate it's status as a classic.

'Power Of Love' mix was decent. He rode on the back of the 'abeefa sound that was around 99/00. He may well be still an active remixer today, but under a different guise. This happens a LOT in dance music.

his Set You Free remix is my favourite song ever...far superior to the original...sent shivers down my spine when I first heard it  did he remix Bullet In The Gun by Planet Perfecto as well? I'm sure he did

I hate 'Bullet In The Gun'!

When I DJ'd at Uni, I almost always finished with 'Set You Free'. A proper cheesey old-skool dance track never failed with a load of pissed-up students!

Rob recently produced as part of Buzz Junkies with "Dont Mess With My Man" and "If U Love Me".
