Scheduled for November 23rd in the USA, so hopefully Sky One will keep close to that date like they tried to do with S6. Robert Carlyle is in the cast too :o

An extended director's cut is being released on DVD a couple of days later as well :w00t:

I still haven't seen the last series, as I lost Sky 1 on Virgin

To be honest I think the show has gone on long enough, sometimes it gets a bit boring half way through

Looks absoutely amazing. It looks like it's gonna be a really good season this year... i'm fully expecting it to clean up at the Emmys next year.

God knows how Jon Voight's on board either... such a good piece of casting. He'll be amazing as the villan.

:o this should be good. Am looking forward to seeing the movie and the next series.
Apparently Robert Carlyle is gonna be a reccuring character aswell now, for the latter half of the 7th season at least!

Right, so, how exactly does this "telemovie" prequel deal actually fit into the whole selling point of the show being supposedly set in "real-time" over a 24 hour period.... Is the film set in 90 mins of "real time" or will the series actually be called "22 and a Half" when it finally airs next year.....?

To be honest, I dont think this show should've come back after series 4 when Jack faked his own death.... Season One will always remain the best for me because it was an original idea and it was extremely well done, tightly scripted with far more attention paid to the 'real-time' aspect (which, after all, was the selling point of the show..) and what would and wouldn't work; subsequent seasons have gotten just more and more far-fetched and rather silly, and frankly the whole "real-time" aspect has gone pretty much out the window with increasingly slack writing....

They're just not going for the real-time aspect, they're still setting it over 24 hours I think, but just not as the show usually runs. I'm pretty sure that this episode is gonna be a pilot for the potential film anyway.

Season 3 was the besr for me... loved everything about it, and then Season 5, which after a shaky start, really came back into its own, especially mid-way through the season when Edgar dies.

Just incase you forgot, this has now aired on Sky1. ^_^ There's a repeat tomorrow at 9pm Sky2, which i'm going to catch it on!

Also, 24 this season will be like Prison Break and air in the UK the following day after it has in the US! :D

Saw the movie last night and it was pretty good. Full of good old Jack Bauer action. Great set up for the 7th season :yahoo:

explained how

Jack ends up in the trial from the S7 trailer

. Will be getting the DVD of Redemption soon :D

The first 17 minutes of season 7 are on the internet too, and it seems pretty damn interesting! I just hope it matches the absolutely immense season 5, and doesn't run into a pile of c**p a la season 6! :(

The first 17 minutes are on the directors cut DVD of Redemption too, think I'll wait a few days to see it on there.

It's such a tease i'll warn you! But then it's only 6 weeks until it starts again. :w00t:

Nothing will ever touch the first season. It was all so believable and less predictable. It's still always been my favourite TV show, and there's never been a terrible season in my eyes. The first season seemed to be more about character development as opposed to big flashy explosions and such.

HOWEVER, my interest is at it's highest in years. Maybe it's because we've been dry without any 24 for nearly two years, but I'm hoping this season is something different. I loved the movie on Sky1 a few weeks back as it felt different. New characters, new plots, all which set up Season 7. Lets hope it's continued!
