I thought it was still only 1-0 with Chelsea :o

Not even Steven Gerrard can save Liverpool from his normal range :o

That wasn't even remotley a penalty  Cheating bastard, this is why i HATE Gerrard sometimes.

To be fair that penalty was only given because they should have had one earlier! He wasn't playing for one anyway as he basically jumped into him and landed awkwardly!

Aguero's booking at the end was really odd though

Well we should have had a penalty earlier, so it evens itself out. :P was a bit theatrical from Gerrard, and it wasn't a penalty, but I guess everything evens itself out in football. We should have won the match again on the balance of play but we didn't. I just want Torres back. You could hear the Kop singing his song for ages at the beginning of the match.

How Gerrard has the audacity to call anyone else a diver when he's the undisputed king of diving is quite laughable.

I agree you should have had one, but it wasn't given so end of :heehee: You cant just dive to try and balance the justice out LOL

Although the Athletico players sulking was quite laughable, though you do understand why they were pissed off...... why did Aguero get booked?

Looking back at the replay, it was actually a foul, just not one that warrants a penalty. But Gerrard did actually get to the ball first, so I don't think he dived. If you're travelling at speed the you'll go down easily, but he did go over theatrically I agree.

Didn't Aguero boot the ball away at the end? I dunno, I missed it. I got a call literally the minute after the ball went back in the next.

You're not allowed to shoot straight from the kick off, you have to pass to another player first but that still didn't warrent a yellow card though

I'm just surprised he was able to recover from that shocking challenge in time to take the penalty :drama:

Well it seems my friend who is an Arsenal fan has a spare ticket for the Fernabahce (sp?) game tonight and he's giving it to me! :D Two games at big stadiums in a week for me after seeing my own team last week! :cheer:
Very cool, quite an exciting match of chances, but a frustrating one, Grandwicky. We should have three points, really.

Thought it was time to rekindle this thread!

Quarter final draw is happening :o

Villareal v Arsenal

Liverpool v Chelsea (again :nocheer: )

Manchester United v Porto

Barcelona v Bayern Munich

Interesting draw :o And a United v Liverpool final is on the cards... woo... :nocheer:

I say another United v Bayern final! We'll seal another historic feat by getting the Quintuple by beating Bayern ten years after we beat them to complete the treble! :P
$h!t draw for Liverpool.

Is gonna be tough but I am quitely confident.

I agree. Personally, I'm gutted that we have not been drawn against Manchester United in the Quarter Final. Especially after Alex Ferguson this week reiterated in an interview in the New Statesman that Manchester United were the best team on Saturday and Liverpool were lucky to win; calling Liverpool the 4th best side in England at the moment and dismissing the abilities of Rafa Benitez hailing David Moyes; Martin O'Neill & Arsene Wenger as the best three managers in the Premiership. It would have been the perfect Quarter Final draw to teach Alex Ferguson some manners once and for all.

Whilst I fear a Manchester United v Liverpool final is the doomsday scenario for English football in "stab city".

Liverpool vs AC Milan ECL Final 25.05.2005

As Liverpool went through "A Ring Of Fire" then, hopefully they'll be able to make an "Easy Lover" of the ECL in 2009. :D
