Posted August 30, 200816 yr http://www.411mania.com/music/news/84044/H...w-U2-Single.htm Hear Drums From New U2 Single Posted by Ben Czajkowski on 08.29.2008 Assuming you can't find the track's actual leak. The new U2 song is now online. (Well, at least the drum part is). Larry Mullen Jr can be viewed laying down the drum beat for the new U2 single "Sexy Boots" now at their website, u2.com. "Sexy Boots" will be the first single from album, which expected to be called No Line On The Horizon. The band has already been behind a well-hyped publicity stunt to raise awareness of the album. Bono "accidentally" played the new album very loud through an open window, a fan heard it, recorded it and before you knew it, fans all over the world were doing their own versions of the "Sexy Boots" riff and putting it on YouTube. No Line On The Horizon will be released in November, which means that before the year is out we will hear new albums from U2, Metallica, AC/DC and possibly Guns `N Roses. Source: Music-news.com.

August 30, 200816 yr Author http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/u2-...w-single-171287 U2 leak part of new single Sexy Boots' drum part is now online. Yes, just the drums Michael Leonard, Fri 29 Aug, 3:25 pm BST Larry Mullen on drums. Like, wow! U2 are slowly but surely working out how to make the most of internet promotion. Rather than making the 'mistake' Bono recently did – blaring out tracks from forthcoming album No Line On The Horizon through open windows, that were then recorded by a passer-by's phone – the Irish megaband are now playing safe. U2.com has a video of drummer Larry Mullen Jnr in the studio, working on what is reportedly a part of the album's first single, Sexy Boots. Yes, it's just the drum part. Frankly, it's not that exciting, but will get U2 fans' tongues wagging. No Line On The Horizon is due out in November and is the first U2 album since 2004's How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. Actually, weren't the master recordings for that "stolen" at one point as well? Thus increasing interest? It's just a thought, but U2 could be scamming and hyping their fans more than they'd like to let on…
