My impressions after a few listens of each:

You On A Good Day - Funky. Love the lyrics.

No Can Do - I know this'll be a favourite of mine. Really love that uplifting vibe, and it feels easy to pick up quickly which could lend well to it being a possible future single.

Hanging On A Star - Why the hate?! This sounds great, frankly. Not a single, but a lovely album track most likely.

Side Chick - Given that this is just the verse, it's hard to say, but i think i'll love it. I'm a right sucker for speedy vocal delivery!

Unbreakable Heart - Meh. We'll see... I like heidi's vocoded bit at the end muchly.

Sunday Rain - Sounds lush and orchestral indeed. Funeral-esque. Me likey.

Every Heart Broken - Crisper production I never did witness. May turn out to be their best-ever ballad. It's the middle 8 I'm anticipating hearing most.

Beware - It sounds a tad empty? The gaps after 'you beware' seem odd.

Nothing's As Good As You - Sounds quite wonderful. I like a nice dose of Amelle-chorus.

Sound Of Goodbye - Not the most exciting on first listen...

Can We Call A Truce - The verses seem to be exactly the same as Every Heart Broken's. This is a good thing, but still, a lazy one.

Sounds great overall. Can't WAIT for the full leak.

JARK! I thought you'd be in love with it! I agree with you mostly though, although No Can Do isnt as impressive as i thought and either is the recorded version of Every Heart Broken.

I kind of wish i had just waited for it to leak instead of buying it as i think i'll like a few songs but most scream out album tracks and i dont really like that :(

Listened to the clips.

You an a good day and no can do sound very good, as does every heart broken.

I think what is so obviously going to let this album down is the songs sound very samey. I think to buy this, you would have to be the sort of person who would love to just sit back in your room and have this on for easy listening. It sounds like an album of very beautiful, heartfelt ballads and quite clever lyrics.

I think the clips also highlight that Girls was a bad choice for a first single in my opinion.

The songs sound AWFUL! Bland to the extreme and depressingly dull.

What the hell have they done, its ridiculous all this 'oh lets do some 60s poppy soul/r&b music as everyone else is' cr*p.

They have always managed to have pretty good albums so far and many fantastic singles so im extremely dissapointed.

Certainly wont bother getting this.

The girls will, no doubt, be gutted Conor.

Matt, clips are a dangerous thing to judge by. I do love them but I'm fully prepared not to be so gushy about the full songs, and equally you may well turn out to love it and find that the big hooks aren't in the clipped sections. We'll know soon enough!

This is AMAZING for what I heard so far ..

Either way i bought the album and will listen fully and i know i will love some tracks, but some i wont and i think i have a pretty strong idea about which ones and how many wont cater to my taste.

These dont sound like the sort of songs with catchy hooks though do they?

It just sounds like an album of slowies.

I'm not quite getting this 'slowie' talk - the first five songs are upbeat! The rest aren't exactly traditional ballads either...

Jark, you cant argue with people who have heard the album. Both popjustice and teletext have said that the album is full of mid-tempo's/ballads/slowies.

Popjustice quote's

I think the thing is that they are totally different albums. One is for having on at home, the other is for stomping around town
But if you go into 'Catfights & Spotlights' expecting top-of-form ballads and soulful mid-tempo numbers in the vein of 'One Touch', you're in for a treat

Lets just face it, we have no 'Push The Button' on the album. It is an album made up mostly of songs like 'Change' and 'Stronger'.

Woo 2 days left for me! C&S is released here on friday

I couldn't resist I had to listen to the clips! lol. I'm not judging them properly until I hear the full songs

My favourites so far are.

No Can Do

Every Heart Broken

Beware
