it's better than Leona and Sugababes new songs put together, and is very radio friendly!

 

How very interesting :wub: and there is strictly no playing it before Sunday for all radio stations apparently

 

Better than 'Girls' is hardly a big compliment :lol:

 

But yes it's kinda good to know radios like it and find it radio friendly. They've always used to be kinda underrated on radios (SKO spent only 1 week in the airplay top20 :o ) but with the TU era they got lots of credibility and "coolness" radio wise, hope it keeps going this way!

GIRLS ALOUD babe Sarah Harding will introduce Girls Aloud's new track, The Promise, tomorrow night on Radio 1's Switch at 8pm.

The live X Factor shows start on the 11th October with (apparently) Leon Jackson performing that week, so i imagine the girls will perform the week after (18th Oct) and then Leona on the 25th (as thats already a rumor).

I'm hoping (even though i like it), Leon falls from anywhere near the top 3 by the time the girls release and im hoping that Leona's track will of already gained momentum and sales from downloads so that 'The Promise' can make a big impact with the download and physical released at the same time and it can help it sore up to the top 3 and hopefully no.1!

 

Only other physical competition comes from Snow Patrol (13th Oct), Foo Fighters (20th Oct), Keane (20th Oct) and the god awful track from Dido (27th Oct). I seriously think with the profile the group now has, they have a really good chance of #1.

If they do it the other way around it doesnt make sense because its like GA singing a week earlier than their single is out and leona singing a week after her downloads are out.

Very good point, that has gotton me excited - maybe that will be the case. Its just i heard that Leona had the 27th slot but we shall see, if she goes first and GA go second then that would work out best for both.

It's important to remember that they could be performing the Saturday before the album release which is obviously far more important

Oh, i dont think number 1 is really a possibility now but hopefully im wrong.

X Factor is the biggest amount of promo you can get and if the download is available from Sunday its happy days for the girls!
