That cover is the most disugsting, tacky excuse for a CDS cover i've seen in my life. It makes the 'Girls' cover look like the Mona Lisa!

And then we say Girls Aloud fans are constantly referring to Sugababes... what was the point of that comment, especially since the new Sugababes album cover is by miles the most bland cover ever published and makes the The Promise cover look like a masterpiece.

 

The font is awful, the picture is AMAZING beyond words, so it hardly makes a "disgusting" cover in the end.

The song is A-listed on Radio 2 and B-listed on Radio 1!

:mellow: Oh my god, what happened?!?!? Every single cover last era was a virtual masterpiece. And now THIS?! Ugh!

 

It's a nice picture of 4 of them (although that doesn't look like Kimba in the slightest - it looks like Kelly Brook! Bring back Kimberley!) but those fonts are beyond dire... I really believe 2008 has seen the death of the single cover as we know it.

LOL the font IS disgusting. Why is it squashed? I just don't understand. My personal theory is that their regular artwork designer was off sick so they got an intern, who is most skilled at operating the coffee machine, to knock it up in about three minutes. :heehee:

The single covers ok, nothing amazing. But, I think the pics been stretched? :unsure: Don't think it would be that wide would it? that's probably why the font looks weird..

The font is not gona look like that lol, its been squashed.

I mean come on! Do artists have no respect for good art anymore? I mean, sheesh, it's f***ing hideous! No the picture isn't BAD (it's certainly not good either), but the album cover isn't just the picture is it? The picture is used HORRIBLY. The font is terrible. WTF is with that god awful brown color used for 'The Promise'!? There is not a single good thing about the cover LOL.

 

Easily the worst cover of the year. Geez, and I thought we could get no lower than Catfights and Spotlights, but this...takes $h!teous to a new level.

I MEAN SRSLY LOOK AT IT. Disgraceful! They're practically giving the middle finger to graphic designers everywhere. They've sold millions of singles and this was the best they could come up with? Ten year olds make this kinda c**p on paint.

Good Lord what is wrong with some of you? Have you looked at some of their faces? They look MANGLED.

 

Who the fuck did this cover? Atrocious. It's all stretched so it looks hella cheap. The font is vile and the title placed in the wrong place. No relationship with it and the picture? The picture is cheap as-- its very early 2000s in style. None of the outfits seem to have any relationship with each other. No matching colours or style. How in the world does any of it actually link to the whole 60s theme projected in the video/song?! Furthermore why would any self-respecting graphic designer double layer the cover with 'Girls Aloud' written twice, it makes it look tacky as hell.

 

I have recently fallen in love with GA (as a few people here can tell you) but this is shocking. Absolutely awful cover. One of the worst I honestly think I've ever seen. It wouldn't take long to make something better than that?!

Anyways, I'm starting to like the song much more now! It's great they decided to do something a lil different and the music video fits the style of the song quite well.
