Posted September 8, 200818 yr Hey guys. I may get in sooooooooo much trouble for this, but you know me. I'm not as diplomatic as I should be. I saw that an article had been written as to why my book is not coming out, saying it would not have sold etc. Well, in all honesty, my reasons for not releasing the book were as follows: * My daughter, Téja, can read. And so can all of her friends, so I didn't want to expose so much about myself and allowing my children to have me and my life discussed in the playground. My children are my world, and I am not ready to have certain conversations with them. And I don't want the magic of their childhoods upset - at all. * Releasing the book would have meant having conversations (interviews, etc) which would result in me having to rake up the past. Things I have buried and never ever want to speak about again. It was such a painful experience having to talk about everything again, and I spent a lot of time crying over the process and the regurgitation of a past that is long gone. * I don't want EVERYONE knowing my business, and I felt it would have been totally ridiculous and untrue if I was to release a book which only told half the story. * My life is perfect right now, and I believe it's because I've surrounded my self with positivity. This book would undo a lot of hard work, and I am over so much I wrote about in the book. * When Darren read the book, he came over to me, kissed me and said, "Aw babe, you've had so much bad happen to you. I'm gonna make it better" and with that I thought, I don't want people to read my life story and end up feeling sorry for me. My life hasn't been all bad. My manager read it and said he felt depressed, which meant that it didn't truly depict how I feel about my life. Yes, I've had some sh*t times. But it's how you come out of them and deal with them and grow. I am sooooo happy right now, and that was not properly put across. * I felt the media would have a field day, and I'd be uncomfortable with edited versions of the book. * The guy who had been working with me on the book got sacked. * I know this may sound mad, but Terry is working really hard to make a better life for himself and is doing really well. And I felt I would be an awful person to expose things about him that would probably jeopardise his progress. He is my daughter's dad, and I truly do believe me recording "Thank You", etc has helped him to change his ways. And I feel like it's a job done! No, he and I are not the best of friends, but he is still human. And I see he is most definately trying to be a better man. * I Blame no-one for the way the book was written, as that is one person's interpretation of the story I told. The publishing company, Orion, were incredibly excited about the release of the book, but I had to be true to me. The company were and are great. I would love to work with them all in the future, but this was just not the project we should have done. I can only hope that Orion had nothing to do with that article and it's ridiculous reasons. It was ALL down to me as to why the book will not be released. So, I apologise for disappointing you and I apologise if this post has offended anyone. But I have a responsibility to not keep my fans in the dark. Thanks for caring! xxxxxx J xxxxxx
