Dubstar back in orbit...

Dubstar have reformed, eight years after their final album Make It Better.

Since the trio split, Sarah Blackwood has sung with electro duo Client.

At myspace.com/dubstarofficial, the band said a new album - with the working title United States Of Being - will be released this winter. Steve Hillier said their new album features an old Yahama grand piano which he bought from Gary Numan in 2006.

Please note: DO NOT MOVE THIS THREAD OUT OF THIS AREA INTO POP THANK YOU!!!

here's some songs that sound like the sundays going baggy....

Dubstar - Anyway (presented by that Northern bloke who goes um-er-um-um-ahon the radio)

Dubstar - I Will Be Your Girlfriend

well apart from the britpop-tastic Cathedral park which not only could be big in denmark now but also sounds like it should be on Stiff Records...would fit great next to kirst maccoll or madness

Cathedral park-Dubstar

bonus videos: this is what i think Dubstar might have been listening to when they reformed:

Billy Bragg - St. Swithin's Day

Kirsty MacColl - Walking Down Madison

The Sundays - Here's Where The Story Ends

Electronic - get the message

and maybe the frazer chorus as well!!!! but not:

Tin Tin Out feat. Espiritu - Always...

they were always my favourite pop band of the 90s - and Stars has to be one of pop's greatest ever moments. I hope this reformation doesn't see the end of Client, another cruelly underrated and overlooked band (wake UP Joe Public!  ).... but, seeing as they have only just recorded a new fourth album and all seem to do their own side projects as well as Client, perhaps not?

Great news, though!

Not So Manic Now is one of my favourite 90s songs.

Great news!

and in in other (associated) news teletext say....

"Frazier Chorus have reissued their 1989 debut album Sue on Cherry Red. It adds B-sides from the era, two 12" mixes and new sleevenotes by singer Tim Freeman".

i'm not surprised that this would be a news item on teletext as people have been going on about for most of the last few months on their latters page...

The Frazzier Chorus album was superb. It's long due a revisit.

Does anyone here remember their fabulously bizarre take on 'Anarchy In The UK'? Loved it...
