So lets be having you...whats your ultimate all time WC memory?

For me in modern terms and games ive seen it has to be the magnificant goal scored by Dennis Bergkamp v Argetina in the 1998 WC, he brought down a 50 yard plus pass, controlled it perfectly in the air, setting himself on the other foot and therefore betting the defender before shooting past Carlos Roa. Magical.

In terms of history it has to be the Geoff Hurst last goal in 1966 final with the famous commentary...

Others could include...

Maradonna hand of God

Maradonnas run through the whole England defence

The Gordan Banks save from Pele in 1970

Becks getting sent off against Argentina in 1998

Gazza crying in 1990

But whats everyone eles?

Ronaldhino making Dave Seaman look a right spanner is priceless....  All you England fans can claim that it wasn't intentional all you want, a player of Ronaldhino's abilities and skill does NOT take wild shots just for the hell of it....

Maradonna's "hand of god" gets too much press, it was his second goal in which he ripped the English defence a new arsehole with a stroke of sheer individualistic genius that'll stay in my memory forever....

Bulgaria wiping their arse with Germany is a most amusing one as well....

The French going out in the first round in Korea.....

My favourite memory is Gordon Strachan scoring against West Germany in 1986 then trying to jump over the advertising boards but being too small, so he just stuck his leg up.

That was the only goal Scotland scored in that world cup.

Other good ones

Josimar's goal from Brazil in 1986 and bizarre celebration.

Ireland beating Italy in 94

Ireland winning the penalty shoot out in 1990

Jorge Campos' crazy goalkeeper shirts

Cuahtemoc Blanco's weird jumping with the ball between his feet move

and bad ones

That Costa Rica backheel and cheeky goal against Scotland in 1990

Tom Boyd's own goal in 98

The whole match vs Tunisia in 98

Uruguay vs Ghana at the 2010 world cup was a special one imo, definately the best of 2010.

The whole of France '98 as my first world cup that i watched.

The shocks of Korea/Japan 2002.

2002 was the first I remember - England beating Argentina on my 9th birthday was a lovely surprise.

2006 is still my favourite and the highlight had to be Italy's two last-minute goals to knock Germany out in their own tournament.

BUMP

The above quote has some of my favourite World Cup memories, I will mention more when they come to my head.

Good call, just reminded me of Josimar's excellent goal again. Probably my favourite football memory ever, not just the world cup.

I'll throw in Marco Tardelli's celebration in the 1982 world cup final. I'm a celebration kinda guy.

Michael Owen's goal in France 98

And of course Argentina's tantrums every single time they go out  I think they're gonna win it this time so I'm not sure I'll see it this time :(

Maradona's goal in '86. Just beautiful to watch

Nelinho in '78 too

Other than that Roger Milla in '90

Gazza in '90

Germany v Holland '90

Germany V England '90

Platini in '82

Owen, Bergkamp '98

Baggio's penalty in '94

Germany vs Croatia in 1998.

I and my sister supported German team from Euro 1996, when they won. That lose was a little tragedy for us.

It was the first and last World Cup, which I watched in all my life.

I prefer rugby union and cricket, than football.

Especially in 2006 when they were knocked out by Germany.
