Posted September 13, 200816 yr Just for kicks! The idea of this thread is to celebrate some nasties from yesteryear. I thought it would be a bit of a laugh really and is a good opportunity to mention some random acts for their laughable and equally horrendous output! First up, Kenny G meets Michael Bolton for yucky, OTT, sax-heavy splurge! The year is 1992... it's... CURTIS STIGERS!!! cMdl3akv0vQ I had this on NOW 21 and was one of those tracks me and my mate at Uni (good old days) would play this at volume 11, after a few too many bottles of vino for kicks! It also reminds of being at the back of my Dads car when I was a child!
September 13, 200816 yr This is probably a great explanation as to why country music never made it in the United Kingdom: i7G9uZSivI4 But then I suppose that some of you weren't alive when this came out.
September 14, 200816 yr interesting idea... i was thinking along the same lines, planning a 'my album of... the worst tracks ever'!
September 14, 200816 yr Author interesting idea... i was thinking along the same lines, planning a 'my album of... the worst tracks ever'! I'm happy enough if you want to close this topic and start a new thread "my album of... the worse tracks ever". It continues the theme we've been doing plus would get more attention I think.

September 15, 200816 yr How can you not like Open Your Heart tigerboy? I'd have thought something like Tell Me When would be a better bad choice!
September 15, 200816 yr How can you not like Open Your Heart tigerboy? I'd have thought something like Tell Me When would be a better bad choice! You should have said how "Dare" you.
September 15, 200816 yr That "Soundtrack of a Generation" is shocking! Especially the cringe-worthy "holy cow" line! I heard they got dropped after that single. Not surprised. Easily the worst single by such a great band.
September 16, 200816 yr this vid just about personifies my idea of FOUL. Ca9HI66ROHY the stylistics, i cant give you anything but my love... :puke2:
September 17, 200816 yr ^ I match your Stylistics & raise you Vanilla Ice & the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! GFLGRidfFo4 Vanilla Ice - Ninja Rap (Go Ninja, Go Ninja GO!) (1991)
September 17, 200816 yr I see your Vanilla Ice & the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! and raise you with ..........The Floaters ....Float On  Cancer and my name is Larry   l22tflaxLK0
September 18, 200816 yr A tough act following the floaters = aptly named as their song had more than a whiff of #2 about it. Talking of #2's: Lets say Hi De Hi! to this #2 from 1986: qDpaJjVvGvA Su Pollard - Starting Together
September 18, 200816 yr Author Oooh Su Pollard my god was I glad I don't recall 1986 in my memory! That is beastly! These are great and interesting choices. Here is my next one, coming from 1993, a horrible year for chart music and made all the worse by this bloke... Q9dgzxdVZ30 I cannot being to explain my hatred towards this at the time and some 15 years later, nothing has changed! Truly :puke2:
September 18, 200816 yr ^ Bitty McLean was UB40's tea boy (aka job opportunities trainee sound engineer), personally even I think Stock Aitken & Waterman had a better tea boy in Rick Astley. So avoiding the all too easy target of Stock Aitken & Waterman, lets move on to a record from 1982 that was the responsibilty of Sinitta's future manager and a future head of BMG Records, and the rest is unfortunately history..... XuRnwMQkCmY Wonderdog - Ruff Mix (1982 UK#31) If you are still not sure who Wonderdog is/was, then this might help with a strangely familiar voice to TV today..... iw0yfiRz9zY (Pulls trousers up as high as possible) Personally if I had to give this song a mark out of 10, then it would only "get about a two, and I'm being generous" for this less than "distinctly average performance". :D
September 18, 200816 yr What's worse than Barbie Girl making No1? Doctor Jones doing so as well: buXJlBd3Mf8
September 18, 200816 yr Here's another awful song by the man behind that classic group of furry animals on Wimbledon common  Mike Batt - Summertime City xtp6BLqeZkQ
September 20, 200816 yr Here's another awful song by the man behind that classic group of furry animals on Wimbledon common  a classic group of furry animals on Wimbledon common??? so is that 'Garfunkel, Essex and melua' then
