Well the 90 minutes against Fulham has to be the one of the most painfully frustrating matches i've sat and watched in my life. How many times in one game can a team hit the woodwork ffs?

Considering who we've brought in and where we're wanting to be this season a 0-0 with Fulham just isn't good enough. Still, got the mags next week and i've got a good feeling about this year's Wear-Shyte derby :funky:

2-1, we always win 2-1...

What a day, what a performance, and more importantly, what a goal :o

I challenge anyone to find me a better free kick. It almost takes the goal out of the ground

Aye gan on then, i'll give him that (even if he is a Smog)

I know it's Sunday, but... :yahoo:

Arsenal were the last team to win in the Premiership at Chelsea and they subsequently won the title that season....

That's what I call a decent omen for Liverpool.

But it is still early days......

Lady Luck seems to be on Liverpool's side this season thus far I must say.

But that performance, was a performance of champions. Jamie Carragher had the Chelsea team in his back pocket for the whole 90 minutes.

The home derby win has been a long time in coming but what a goal to seal it. :w00t: A very happy mackem house here.

Liverpool have had 'lady luck' for about 5 years. You'd think after the CL '05 final they'd used up all their luck to last them a lifetime as well!

Nah, the Champions League final was just a great comeback! We got our tactics spot on that second half, and the introduction of Didi Hamann just killed Milan off. Of course we've always had luck, every team gets luck now and again, but today, that defelected shot from Alonso for example, just showed Liverpool's luck.

People say it's luck especially with the red cards in the two previous matches, and to an extent it is, but it's not as if the sendings off were wrong decisions or anything (well Valencia's first booking but he knew he was on a yellow before making a stupid challenge). It still takes skill to beat these teams off. They might not win the title but they're certainly the best equipped they've ever been, mainly because after four years Rafa has finally realised that so much rotation doesn't work!

To be fair, I think the whole of 2008 Rafa's realised rotation doesn't work. He still rotates to a degree, but definitely not as much as he used to. It does annoy me when Rafa gets a load of stick for "resting" (or rotationg, whatever you want to call it) when Wenger and Fergie are just as bad at it. It's only because Liverpool didn't have the depth in quality. Is too early to say I think Liverpool will win the title, but we've beaten the 2 of the other 3 teams in the Top 4 already this season, and that can only be a good sign.

well hmm it's not Saturday but

Arsenal 4 - 4 Spurs :o

Quite clearly Ramos was $h!t! He blamed his start on Berba and Keane's exits, even though he did mediocre when he had them after taking over from Jol. I wonder how many players Gomes would have assaulted tonight :heehee:

You must see David Bentley's goal in the 4-4 draw = Surely Goal of The Season.

That was some goal :o

Top of the league. :w00t:

The best start EVER for a Premier League team too.

EDIT: maybe i'm getting ahead of myself actually.

I was hoping to wake and for it all to be a bad dream but alas :(

That capitulation was just pathetic, if you're winning 4-2 with 4 minutes to go you don't give away the ball at every opportunity and try to score! are the players complete morons or something?
