April 30, 200916 yr I don't watch Heroes that much but my brother cba to watch through the 3rd season episodes because the story becomes cheesier and cheesier. ;)
May 11, 200916 yr Well... that was a naff ending, Sylar becomes Nathan And Ali Larter comes back :o as a different character
May 11, 200916 yr Author Ali Larter is still Tracy. And I can see Nathan/Sylar suffering from a personality disorder. Apparently Sylar's gonna go all 'Fight Club' on us.
May 12, 200916 yr Well... that was a naff ending, Sylar becomes Nathan And Ali Larter comes back :o as a different character Ice = water. ;)
May 12, 200916 yr I'm totally bummed out about the finale. I can't believe how the series ended, I feel that we're just going round and round in circles - Sylar is Nathan was an idea shown in a future glimpse waaay back in series 1. I'm finding that I care less and less about the characters now. I hate Claire, I'm bored of Matt, Peter's character is whiny and less powerful than ever. I'm just so upset that I didn't even care about whether or not I caught the finale last night. Let's hope series 4 redeems itself :(
May 26, 200916 yr I'm watching the rather excellent 4400 on DVD at the moment.... Now, am I the only one that detects an - ahem - certain similarity between the two shows (as well as a similarity with the flop, although kind of interesting, series "Threshold" as well) in terms of it being about ordinary people with extraordinary gifts trying to avert a future catastrophe.....? And according to IMDb, the 4400 came first, by about two years, and beats the likes of Threshold or Invasion by one year.... Frankly, comparing the two shows, so far (I'm on series 2), 4400 has a way better developed plot and far more consistency in the script department....
May 26, 200916 yr Author 4400 was good in the first series (like Heroes) but then is shiiiiite there afterwards. Both plots are quite similar I guess, although they're quite different at the same time... the people on Heroes didn't disappear for years and then have to adapt into soceity unlike on 4400.
May 27, 200916 yr Author 4th season with either 18 or 20 episodes. NBC have not decided yet. I think they likelyhood is 18 episodes though. That way it would be really good imo.
May 28, 200916 yr 4400 was good in the first series (like Heroes) but then is shiiiiite there afterwards. Both plots are quite similar I guess, although they're quite different at the same time... the people on Heroes didn't disappear for years and then have to adapt into soceity unlike on 4400. Well, so far, I'm thinking it's a much better developed in the plot department... Perhaps things will take a nosedive when I get towards series 3 or 4, but so far, it's all good.... The people on Heroes might not disappear as such, but many characters have gone into the future - Hiro and Peter being two... And the whole "prevent a future catastrophe" thing is somewhat filched.... Also, I read on IMDb that there's some sort of drug developed to "unlock the 4400 potential" in ordinary people, errrr, how does this NOT bear a striking resemblance to the "formula" which give ordinary people superpowers in Heroes.... Sorry mate, for my mind, in several departments, Heroes is almost verging on plagiarism..... The whole thing with Suresh as well in season three experimenting on himself and "changing", becoming all nasty, is VERY much like Jeff Goldblum's character in The Fly...... Tim Kring is a total rip-off artist mate with barely an original thought in his head..... Whereas the guys who write 'Lost' or 'Supernatural' are absolute geniuses who consistently manage to confound my expectations and come up with interesting and quite unique spins on concepts.....
June 4, 200916 yr Author Robert Knepper continues his villainous streak. Coming off a role as bad guy Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell on Fox's "Prison Break," Knepper has been tapped as the new lead villain on NBC's "Heroes" next season. In at least six episodes of the series' fourth season, Knepper will play Samuel, a Jim Jones type -- charismatic but evil, with a twisted sense of humor -- who will veer into the lives of all heroes. The character had been referred to as "Carnival Barker" in the series breakdown released last month. "Heroes" is slated to return in the fall for a "Lost"-style all-original run in a new time slot at 8 p.m. on Mondays. The sci-fi drama -- which enjoys a strong online following -- will share its time period with another fan favorite, "Chuck," which will take over in midseason. Production on the UMS-produced "Heroes" is scheduled to begin later this week. Knepper is perhaps best known for playing a character on "Prison Break" that viewers loved to hate -- T-Bag, a murderer, rapist and supremacist. On the bigscreen, he was most recently seen in "Transporter 3" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still." Knepper is repped by Fortitude, D/F Management and attorney Todd Rubenstein. Hollywood Reporter. I think Heroes may have been saved.
June 4, 200916 yr That is great news, and I heard somewhere which I don't know if its true or not, Summer Glau has been approached to play a new hero
June 4, 200916 yr Author That is great news, and I heard somewhere which I don't know if its true or not, Summer Glau has been approached to play a new hero Could be plausible, but i'm pretty sure she'll end up on Dollhouse... The Knepper casting is a fantastic piece of casting. I was seriously hoping he'd be a series regular as opposed to a special guest star though!
September 22, 200915 yr Author Cba to open a new thread. Could someone please change the sub-topic title to 'Volume 5 Redemption'. Anyway I was pretty impressed with the double opener. A few pointers from me: Looks like they're finally using Peter decently again. Have a feeling before the season ends though he's gonna realise he's got to help out all the other 'Heroes'. Doctor Suresh seems to have been abducted by aliens. I'm confused as to whether Claire's roomie was murdered or commited suicide. I think murder. And I think Gretchen probably has something to do with it. The Carnival stuff is a bit farfetched, but is interesting. I've no idea what that compass is for though. And finally, the best scenes by far were of Sylar inside Matt Parkman's head. Was fantastically played out imo.
September 22, 200915 yr Agree with all of that, but I dont understand who all these people are that are trying to kill everyone?! Or did I miss the obvious :(
