September 30, 200816 yr You can't push an album with a flop/rubbish single though or without a single. Isn't this partial delusion by fans who are trying to justify the single flopping hideously? I mean that in the nicest way possible too... what would make you think it's us trying to justify it flopping?

September 30, 200816 yr that's a bit rude considering your on an anastacia forum. prepare for an attack lol. the majority are nice, only a small amount are loony :P
September 30, 200816 yr It's like trying to say that her performance on that Balkans programme 'Star Academy' or w/e was actually good when in fact it was shockingly appalling. This whole era is like a trainwreck :(
October 1, 200816 yr  Trust me, I'm not oblivious to the fact that the single is going to get nowhere near the Top 40 (let alone Top 10), and they obviously should be pushing through with the single release, but it was issued by David Massey (her manager) that they are only bothered about how the album performs, not the single. That's ridiculous, all her lead single went to Top 5 at least. -_-

This whole era is like a trainwreck :( It just shows that her voice isn't comfortable fact that with songs like ICFY. Her voice doesn't go with it, and it sounds bad. Oh, and the fact that when she sings her face still looks frozen from the botox she's had. @ Jake,- I don't know if it's a trainwreck yet, have you heard the preview of In Summer? It's pretty mellow and boring, and the lyrics are lame, but it sounds nice and better than ICFY.
October 1, 200816 yr Because maybe the majority of anastacia fans are weird and looney? :P well i sure am weird and looney

I mean that in the nicest way possible too... Unfortunately this is completely right. It's all very well saying Anastacia is an album act, and the single doesn't matter. But it still seems a HIGHLY odd marketing tactic by the label to have Anastacia record the weakest, flimsiest track of her career as her comeback after 4 years, and then declare they don't care that it's going to flop. There are very few acts out there who can sell an album without a relatively strong single. Those acts either have to fit into the easy listening or classical genres (Katie Melua, Norah Jones, Jamie Cullum), or they have to be global superstars who have been household names for at least three decades (Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, Elton John, etc.). And even then most of these albums tend to peak high, and the drop rapidly out of the charts generating low total sales. Anastacia fits into neither of these categories. October 1, 200816 yr i agree as much as i love ICFY it does not show off her voice, which is one of her biggest selling factors and i also agree on the easy listening atcs not needing a strong single, Katie melua's first single from Pictures, If you were a sailboat did not make top 20 yet the album went to #2
October 2, 200816 yr Where is ICF on iTunes anyone? And when is the song out? What album promo does she have lined up? Shouldn't it be known by now as the album is out in a few weeks?
October 2, 200816 yr Author Where is ICF on iTunes anyone? And when is the song out? What album promo does she have lined up? Shouldn't it be known by now as the album is out in a few weeks? Digital release has been up on iTunes for about the last 3 weeks now (MAJOR :/ ). It peaked at #85 but hasn't appeared since. Physical release is for the 13th. UK album promo.... GMTV. But a schedule issued out by Universal will appear soon (should be next week) which will show everything lined up for her.
October 6, 200816 yr That's ridiculous, all her lead single went to Top 5 at least. -_- Well, in the UK, none of the singles from Freak Of Nature was Top 10, and still that album sold around 1 million copies. Besides she only had 3 top 10 hits in her career in UK, and that never kept her albums from selling... However, I´m not seeing in the new song the "adult" appeal that her older tunes had. That might put her album buyng public off.
