September 16, 200816 yr Well we know Leon is on the first live show and apparently Girls Aloud on the third but the second seems to be open. It could be Alicia Keys on week 2. I know she is due to perform and the timing would be about right.
September 16, 200816 yr Its now looking at a total of 6 months since announcement to release for this track and to be honest she needs to get on the promo circuit as i think people might just get sick of this by 3rd Nov. Its been available and on radio for so long now, i think her managment have f***ed this up IMO.
September 16, 200816 yr People seriously think Girls Aloud will be #01 over Leona?!?  Oh dear, some fans are deluded. Leona always has a huge hype about her singles, just look at the promotion for 'Bleeding Love' and 'Better In Time'. I should think 'Forgive Me' will be no expection, she'll be performing on X Factor again which will no doubt give her a huge boost, plus the song is very radio friendly and catchy. Fair enough if you don't like it, but I really don't see how it won't be going #01.

But Better in Time didnt go to number one and from what i can remember sold something like 40k on the first week and that was on the back on Comic Relief (Or another big charity show) and it was also the official single!! Whereas CTS and SKO both sold similar amounts to this on the first week physical, and a fair amount the week before on download alone. This time they are doing both on the same week. I'm not saying Leona won't go to number one but i disagree about the HUGE amounts people seem to think she is gonna sell.
September 16, 200816 yr LOL GA fans are pretty deluded (and we know they usually are) if they think The promise can beat Leona and be #1...
September 16, 200816 yr LOL GA fans are pretty deluded (and we know they usually are) if they think The promise can beat Leona and be #1... We're not talking about it beating Leona now if you have read the thread properly as they aren't even out on the same week anymore   And GA fans are passionate, not deluded :P
September 16, 200816 yr And GA fans are passionate, not deluded :P Well said. Ah we dont want a GA versus leona thing going on, i love both acts, they arent releasing at the same time so its not an issue Edited September 16, 200816 yr by Robintime11
September 16, 200816 yr Well said. Ah we dont want a GA versus leona thing going on, i love both acts, they arent releasing at the same time so its not an issue I love both of them too, GA a bit more i will admit but want them both to get to number one. We just seem to have alot of GA haters on here who want them to fail...!!

Yes, but to be fair the album had sold over a million copies at the time of BIT's release so it was always going to be hard to get another #1 from the album. Oh and it was very close to #1... 302 copies if I remember correctly. :P I would be VERY surprised if this had larger success than BL, but I still think (and hope) it will be a big hit for her regardless of #1 or not. :)
September 16, 200816 yr Stupid decision.. The Perfect scenario is to move it up to the 18th- second live show, when noone seems to be performing on this show! Then there would be no clashes with GA, performance or otherwise, and people wont get sick of the song on radio etc before wanting to buy it!! But oh wait, they prob want leon at #1 for longer than a week, so they probably wont do that! :banghead:
September 16, 200816 yr This is absolutely no "Bleeding Love", it definitely won't do as well so #1 is NOT guaranteed
September 16, 200816 yr I really like this. Voted Top 3 but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it reached No1. Ditto, ditto and ditto! Thanks to the person who posted the link to the higher quality vid. I like it. Yes, it is a bit Mariah-esque, but in a good way, I think.
September 16, 200816 yr New material, with inevitable exposure on the nations top ranked programme given a dual digital and physical release; then blatantly it will go straight in at No1 with the biggest weekly sales of 2008 maybe as high as 85-95k! The song itself is no Bleeding Love but an inoffensive up-tempo r&b number, which lends itself to airplay support across the board.
September 17, 200816 yr Sorry people, confused yet again. Leona's official has posted her single cover today and it says 27th October. Yesterday it said 3rd November so I don't know what is going on. Sep 17 2008 - Sneak Preview of ‘Forgive Me’ Single Cover Here’s a little something to keep you entertained while you’re waiting to get your hands on Leona’s spectacular new single, ‘Forgive Me’: The singles reaches us on 27th October - if you haven’t checked out the video yet, head to Yahoo HERE. http://www.leonalewismusic.co.uk/index.php...e_single_cover/
September 17, 200816 yr Oh dear - I wish she would make up her mind -_- It's her management. The official site has always been a mess.
September 17, 200816 yr Ok a mod on her official site asked the admin and apparently Sony messed up yesterday and it is still 27th October.
September 17, 200816 yr Eh it might not be number one, but it could crack the top three? From the sounds of it they are taking a little TOO long to release it, that can backfire.
September 17, 200816 yr I've listened a few times now and its starting to get on my nerves. I just wish she'd get rid of that little whimpering warble she does at the end of almost every note. She will, undoubtedly get to number 1, but I would really like it if she didn't now. Norma
