Bet you didnt think Leona was going to do that well did you ? , I don't know what expect like the same what happened when Leona first came out. He might even reach Top 10 on Sunday before Physical if his performance on "X Factor" does that well.

I didn't think Leona would go on to sell 800k+ of 'Bleeding Love' but from when it first leaked it sounded like it would be a #1 single. I just don't get that with Leon's single, I expect it will go to #1 but it really shouldn't.

Bumps.

After his ropey performance on X Factor last night and being available to download from midnight, I think it is time to reassess how many singles this will sell first week, or even if it might fail to reach the top spot.

He won't knock of Pink.

Remember when Leona performed 'Bleeding Love' for the first time? Everyone went crazy. Leon was just... forgettable.

This song is so dull it would almost certainly be the worse number 1 of the year if it made it there if not for Basshunter. It would be a travesty if it knocked something as brilliant as 'So What' off the top spot. Next up is the 12 X factor finalist's rendition of 'Hero' for charidee, followed by this year's winner whose record which no doubt will be superb original track from the writers of 'All This Time'. Oh joy. Kill me now.

Leon has a mediocre voice, no stage presence and some dodgy looks no amount of restyling will remedy. If he proves a success despite all that, it will prove that Simon Cowell has truly brainwashed the nation. And we are all DOOMED..

Woolies are stocking it, so he might get a shoe in, but after his performance last night he was dull as tap water. :heehee:

Fingers cross for Snow Patrol or Peter Kay next Sunday

"It's like eating water" as Simon Cowell would say. Woolies stocking it should make sure it goes to #1. It's times like these where I am against selected singles being available at places like Woolies or the supermarkets. -_-

Well its debuted at #17 already on Itunes already, I said 50K last time, but i just don't really know how this is gonna go. I didn't expect it that high on itunes already though
His success after a less than amazing performance last night bodes very well for GA next week!!
i think it will be in the top 40 somewhere today and it probably will go number 1,however i dont think its a great song and i think he will struggle with releases after this, the song was dull and to me he was very messy performing it

His performance last night was dire. I felt a bit sorry for him - I'm not sure how well he's coping with the pressure. He seems a nice enough lad but not a natural star by any measure.

I imagine it will still get to number one though, but a performance as bad as that is bound to have an effect on his future. Simon Cowell won't be too happy I'm sure.

He didn't look that happy when he was performing it. Though of course he was up on his feet at the end, only cos he has to though to ensure he is behind Leon
dont be so harsh....i think leon was pretty good and his song is decent.....btw when i watched leona perform x factor, i thought "wow she will have to do better than this" it was probably her worst performance of the song imo, i guess its the pressure of coming back to that monster of a show

Well i think you were the only one.

I agree, I think her performance on the X Factor is my favourite time that I've seen her do it.

Well he's definitely not going to get a Leona style first week sales as she had just hit the #1 spot on iTunes at the same time last year.

I'll go for 40k although the physicals being available at Woolies may push that up a bit.

He'll definitely have a McFly-style chart run as he's completely useless and has no longevity in the business.

Aaron, the X Factor performance is brilliant, particularly the whistle note in the second long run, but there are loads of performances where vocally, she is actually better than that - the Benissimo performance in Switzerland, and the NRJ Music Show in France.

Also, the Live Lounge version she recorded for Radio 1 is actually better, vocally, than the studio version, although the arrangement is slightly different.

Bleeding Love was probably a lot harder song to sing than this easy, MOR sh/te that Leon had to perform though. The guy is just cr*p but to give him his due, when he was spoken to, he looked as though he knew he was bloody lucky to be there.

I guess so, I think the cloths, smoke machine and lighting from the X Factor performance is what makes it stand out to me over her other performances - I think she's probably performed it a bit better on those others you listed.

Hopefully Leon wont go to #1 just to show those people who said Leona was only #1 because it was her big comeback to X Factor and it was the hype that helped it get there.

Yeah, the whole set-up of the X Factor performance was outstanding. And the gold sparkly dress she wore genuinely made her look like some sort of goddess on stage. She'd also been completely re-styled with the cleavage and hair and make-up which also added to the wow factor.

Vocally I don't think its her best, but its still fantastic that she managed to come back and deliver like that.

Clearly last year's winner couldn't perform to the same standard - quite frankly he was awful. His interviews on Xtra Factor were also very, very uncomfortable as he tried to be funny and failed miserably.

Unfortunately he will probably get to #1 but he'll drop like a stone thereafter.
