Posted September 27, 200817 yr Britney fans have nominated Britney for the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards! Britney is currently nominated for Best Act of 2008 as well as the coveted Album of the Year award according to MusicWeek.com! Britney will be competing against the likes of Alicia Keys ("As I Am"), Coldplay ("Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends"), Duffy ("Rockferry") and Leona Lewis ("Spirit") for Album of the Year. "The range of this year's finalists really does demonstrate the breadth of taste of the MTV audience," says MTV Europe Music Awards executive producer Richard Godfrey. It has not yet been announced if Britney will be nominated in her third category for Best Act Ever. The 2008 EMAs are set to air on November 6th of this year in Liverpool. This is not the only overseas affair Britney has ties to. ExtraTV.com has confirmed Britney will perform on British show X-factor later this year. "Yes, I think Britney Spears is going to perform on 'The X Factor,'" judge Simon Cowell revealed. When asked how Cowell managed to snag Spears, he replied, "We didn't GET her. She's got a record coming out. We have the number one show in England. It's the best show for her to perform on. We're absolutely thrilled to have her." Maybe she'll kill two birds with one stone and make a surprise appearance at the EMAs after her performance? One can dream...

No. I guess you're right... for Best Act Ever there should be artists like Madonna, The Beatles, Elvis or Michael Jackson competing, imo.
