I say bring the cane back, some children/teenagers need to be taught lessons whenever I was naughty when I was younger I got smacked real hard, I've learnt my lesson and now with smacking being illegal, yes? That doesn't make things easier. But that did me no harm, I'm 17 now and I feel I respect those around me. But yes, the cane should be brought back but some teachers I couldn't imagine using it.

I dont think that there is a need to bring it back.. I think if teachers KNEW how to handle secondary pupils then we wouldnt have such a problem. Also one one hour detention? Hardly DETERS the pupil...
