Outside the top 40 singles are: Kooks - Sway..in the top 50, along with Fall Out Boy - I Don`t Care. Sash are in the top 60, and we see re-entries for U2 in the top 70, as Boys II Men re-enter the top 75. Roisin Murphy, Tara Blaise, and Wiley seem caught in the physical trap, and will flop.

NOTE: This compilation pulls off at midday today. Geraldine McQueen`s pre-orders were pretty non-existent. So, only download info on her song, was included. Personally I think top 15, not top 10.

Now I will transport a request for the Radio Luxembourg top 30, for this week in 1984...For eightiespopkid:

Radio Luxembourg had 26 actually in the 30, compared to the GALLUP Radio One chart in 1984. Of course, it got slightly easier for them in 84, when we were just 3 weeks into Independant Radio`s newly launched "Network Top 30", with DAVID "KID" JENSEN...which was the first chart show, to knock Radio One for six! As well as a load of copycat ideas, for Radio One...now being a week behind the Independant Radio Network. CULTURE CLUB was actually a number one, on the Network Chart..and a midweek number one to boot, and the first to do so, that was recognised. Great memories for me, there!

Sash! so low? I hope they will be at least in the top 40 :o

something tells me that Geraldine might do a bit better than No.32...

and no sign of Sash! in the top 40 :o

Yes my something (well the bloke I know in my local HMV whom I chat to quite often on a Monday) tells me Geraldine is "comfortably outselling" a certain Scotsman on Physicals in the store, as it was fairly obvious from the inroads of stocks for that single on display compared to Snow Patrol & Leon Jackson come 16:15 hours this afternoon.

Based on that information there is no way on Earth that Geraldine McQueen is going to be anywhere near that low on the Chart countdown come Sunday.

the DVD single might help the cause a bit too, it's like a souvenir of the show! I bought the CD single though (because I wanted both versions), does anyone know the tracklisting of the DVD version? it's probably just Geraldine's performance

Surely Keane must be outselling Oasis this week :o

And I'll be annoyed if Rihanna beats Will to the top five because of the huge undercutting of her album!

It's the proper video (sadly the link embedding the video is disabled) not shown last night on the show, however the video looks incredibly familiar to the debut videos by Leon Jackson, Leona Lewis, Shayne Ward ........ :D

thanks for that Rich, any special features on there?

oh and  at the inclusion of Cat shouting 'Geraldine' at the key change

I would be surprised if keane dont end up #1 by sunday :o ... is it that much between oasis and keane?

I haven't even watched my DVD yet ... I thought it'd just be the performance from the show! How silly can you get? Slap around the head Norma - a-la the Cheeky Girls!

My HMV was pretty much the same - great product placement position for Geraldine whilst Leon's were practically out of sight next to the Boyzone album.
