Posted October 15, 200816 yr SH*RT C*MMENTARY: Bloc Party held on number one in the singles chart for the second week, will they overtake thgeir previous success with Mercury that has spent 3 weeks on top? Camille's Money Note is rapidly becoming the song of the year having spent 12 weeks in the Top 5 overally, 11 - in the Top 3, 3 - on No.3, 5 - on No.2 and 3 weeks on the Top Spot. Gym Class Heroes claim to have another win in one of the next weeks unless some great songs come on the horizon and do it for themselves. Pendulum's The Other Side has grown much this week having climbed from the lowest spot of the Top 10 to the 4th place, the closest to the pedestal. Laura Marling, Steve Mac, Gotye and Kings Of Leon slipped one place whilst Lenka keeps climbing with the Eledanese entry to BJSC this month - The Show. M.I.A. cracked the Top 10 this week although it doesn't seem that the song will keep climbing and break the record of Number 3, that was achieved 39 weeks ago, on its debut week on Pavel's Chart. Fallout Boy showedthe greatest climb of the week - 18 places up, Previous songs as Sugar We're Going Down and Dance Dance only made it to the low Top 10 whilst This Ain't A Seen It's An Arms Race has spent 3 weeks at No.2 in the early 2007. Brandy and Katy Perry have lost their Top 10 placings due to the rising contendership both losing 5 points. 3 songs have already spent 19 weeks on chart all of them having the second result in unofficial Longest Runners rating, We Are Scientists, 3 week-chart-toppers, with Chick Lit, are still on chart at their 24th week!!
