Anyone wants to write a news report for the GA Aritist Front page, regarding their #1. I'm surprised no one has done a report yet.

Once written please forward to the mod of the GA forum or a GM

I've done one, but I don't really want to approve it myself  Will do if I'm allowed though
they were 12000 copies ahead yest of course they will defo be number one on sunday!
Sales ; 36,490... oh my GOD!

:w00t: That's brilliant, and theres still 3 days worth of sales to come

Hate to contradict you but it isnt brilliant, its pheonomonal! They sold 12,000 copies in one day (tuesday). Its actually another 4 days sales before sunday (todays, thur, fri and sat) so i reckon 'The Promise' will surpass Duffy's first week sales of 72,000 and claim the prize for the biggest first week sales of 2008.

Not sure they can keep on selling 12k a day until Sunday, but hey, should be huge sales indeed !!!

GA still ahead in Thursday midweeks! Hopefully we'll get some update about the sales!
Let's not get too over confident about the sales here, its selling brilliantly but 72,000 im not so sure about, i'd love to be proven wrong though.

As I posted in the chart forum, GA have sold 45.6k by thursday midweeks, while Duffy had sold 47.5k by FRIDAY midweeks (the week she achieved 72k), so actually it looks like the girls are selling about 10k more than Duffy did at the same time of the week :o

Hopefully the sales won't decline too much and they can break the record for this year highest #1 sales (until a X Factor single is realased lol)

Edit : I can't edit the topic's title, same with the Itunes thread I opened... is it a new rule or something? It's rather annoying cause I can't keep stuff update because of this!
