Posted October 21, 200816 yr I think, than even though, they had great sales for the first week in the album chart, 'Shock...dropping 3-16-36 was one of their worst performances to date in the singles for a comeback!! 8 No.1's was fantastic but I'm doubting they can now achieve a 9th!
October 21, 200816 yr yes i really think they can,,i wouldny worry too much about the shock of lightning as im an oasis fan but i really think its one oftheir worst singles to date,,on saying that i never expected to only last 3 weeks in the top40 as its out of the top 40 in todays midweeks..
October 21, 200816 yr Oasis always drop down rapidly but I think if they had released it earlier on this year and had more incentives to get the physical then SOTL would have been #1. Thing is though physical sales are dying rapidly now and a band like Oasis relies on them really but I reckon they could still have another #1 myself.
October 21, 200816 yr they can .... though it's harder as Oasis clearly shift alot of phsyical cds... and since they are dying it will make it harder for them. Edited October 21, 200816 yr by Jez
October 22, 200816 yr TSOTL was "out" for almost 2 months!!! everyone had that track if you know what i mean... it could be a #1. still an excellent rock track i d love to see "i m outta time " top the charts even if its really hard but we have to wait...
October 24, 200816 yr Author Yes I agree that the current chart compiling with the demise of the physical single will make it a lot harder to achieve another no.1 single. I still think Oasis could have played it a bit safer with making SOTL a double A side with Falling Down.
November 5, 200816 yr Author If it wasn't for Leona Lewis, Take That and X Factor Winner, 'I'm Outta Time' could stand a chance at no.1  You never know!!!! Edited November 5, 200816 yr by highlander69
