ScottyEm got there first!

Erm...also The Hustle by Van McCoy and, if they ever get played, Disco Stomp by Hamilton Bohannon and Dance to the Drummers Beat by Herman Kelly.

Any of the Giorgio Moroder / Donna Summer tracks.... or anything by Chic... both still amazing after all this time.

Ooooh yeah! It's just a shame you only ever hear "Le Freak" at cheesey Xmas work do's! They've had far better tracks.

oh my GOD!..... thats foul m8... how could you?..:P

Can't help but love disco flutes.

Actually - I've just youtubed Van and found out that 'The Shuffle' is a song I remember hearing from my childhood which I absolutely loved. I've literally been wondering what that song was for the past 25 years.

Now to get me an mp3 of it...

soz m8, personally i cant abide that slush.. its worse then 95% of watermans stuff!

Usually the ones that ended up being remixed by dance artists in the 90s and 00s :P

I highly recommend you check the originals. They are almost always far, far better.

I found it! A Time Life compilation called 'Best of the 70s' or something. Already tried looping it and adding some new beats but poor Mr McCoy's timing was absolutely off!

December '63 (Oh What A Night) The Four Seasons and also song from one of Mushy's favourite artists (although he claims otherwise) - First, Last, My Everything by Barry White!

Oh and if we go into the 80's, then Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

No One has yet mentioned the biggest Disco act of the 70s - Boney M

I'm always drunk when I dance, so I can't really remember any of the songs I've danced to  Though, for some reason Boney M "Rasputin" sticks out in my head. I don't even particularly like it.

But my best disco track has gotta be Blondie - Heart Of Glass. I'll always attempt to dance when that comes on in a club. And Call Me, Sister Sledge - He's The Greatest Lover, Lost In Music, Gloria Gaynor - Never Can Say Goodbye and Donna Summer - I Feel Love are other disco tracks I love....
