We all know NME hype is bollocks, if anyone still buys the magazine they are pretty stupid.

 

Maybe they didnt want to be the new oasis, if they did become that they proberly would of been $h!t.

Well if they wanted to be the new Oasis then they would have stayed together and considering most of the songs from Down In Albion were meant to be on the third Libertines album then maybe they have been the new Oasis but replace added guitar w*n**ry with bad production and bad recordings due to the frontman being on crack for all of it. :lol:

 

They could have been the new Smiths but ended up being the new Stone Roses I'd say would be more accurate.

I wouldnt say they were the new anyone really, they were in a leauge of their own, i would say they were the British strokes though.
It was just an example really.. Have you got the Nomis Studios demos? They basically were initially trying to be a British Strokes basically :lol: With the way the demos were produced I mean..

I havent actually heard of those demos :o

 

its not often i come across Libertines material i dont know.
