Hann picked me up at 7pm on Wednesday we drove to a parking place near Utrecht to meet Myshadow, after a coffee we drove to Hann’s cousin in Amsterdam.

After watching to the second half of the football match and eating some yummie grapes and strawberries we decided we would try to get some sleep before the queuing.

We woke up at 4.30 (yes….AM :o ) and got ready…left the house at 5.15 to go and find Mon who was somewhere in Amsterdam waiting for us.

Thanks to Hann’s cousin (not to our route planner :wacko: ) we found Mon without to much trouble and we arrived at the Arena at 6.00.

There were already 12 people there when we arrived, the group of Dutch girls I met in Dublin, 2 girls from Canada, one English lady and a few more Dutchies I think….oh….and Mandaley ( :D from the official forum!)

Ohhh and Babs arrived very quickly after we got there :dance: :dance:

It was very cold but at least we were sure that I wasn’t going to rain today because I had brought my umbrella….

We couldn’t wait for the coffee and the Decathlon shop to open so we could get coffee, tea & sweaters and socks to keep us warm *lol* and we could use their clean toilets so we didn’t have to go to the dixies that they put there for us.

Tinkerbell arrived a few hours later but we managed to let her sit with us without anyone complaining about it.

So….there we were with our backs against the gates that they would let us through about 9 hours later.

We drank a lot of coffee (not only the coffee but especially the walks to the coffee shop kept us warm the first few hours) and we had a lot of fun chatting.

Roger was there for a moment (with Mr. R) but when I came back from the toilets they disappeared….it’s a shame I didn’t have a chat with her :cry:

 

Well it got warmer in the afternoon and at 4 they started preparing for letting us in…wich means that the people in the back started to get up….we tried to convince them to sit down because it was still 30 minutes before they would let us in but (of course) it didn’t work….we had to stand up and wait untill they opened the gate at 4.30.

I think the man who let me through was convinced that I had some kind of secret weapon hidden in the (very small) bag I was wearing around my waist :arrr: and I saw a lot of people running on the stairs who had been behind me all day!!!!

So when he finally let me through I had to run for my life (and for my first row spot)

But thanks to my athletic body :rolleyes: (you should have seen me throwing myself over the fence just a few hour earlier…..boy I have never felt so old :unsure: ) I got exactly where I wanted to be at first row in the middle of the small round stage!!!!!

We sat down and tried to breathe normal again….

After about 20 minutes they told us we should stand up so they could let more people in the GC…..it was unbelievable....a few people fainted even before the first support act!!!!!

We didn’t get any water to drink :angry: (they said we had to go to the bar if we wanted a drink….yeah right!!!) all they could offer was a wet sponge when you needed something.

 

Well at 6.30 Orson came on stage (not my cup of tea to be honest)

The second support act Basement Jaxx were just great!!!!!!!

They treated us with a real party…I loved them :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

 

 

Ok….at 9.00 the fireworks started and Robbie appeared on stage again wearing sunglasses and singing Radio…..

:yahoo: He was brilliant!!!!!

So different from Dublin..........

In Dublin he was very insecure and emotional didn’t (really) talk to the audience a lot….like he didn’t really found “Robbie†yet….

Well last night he had found him he was there Mr. Entertainer himself and he looked like he loved every minute of it!!!!!

He kissed a girl in the beginning of the concert ….well, I think it was the girl kissing him but who cares ;)

When he saw the “Canada†T-Shirt from one of the Canadian girls we had queued with he stopped to talk to her asked her if she was really from Canada and came all the way to The Netherlands to see him then he dedicated the song “Feel†to her!!!!!

I loved that moment :wub: really thought it was very special….this girl had told me earlier that day that it was the song “Feel†that made her fall in love with Robbie and his music in the first place so that made it extra special….very touching I think!!!!!!

Well…..he has looked me in the eyes a few times during the show but I didn’t get that extra special look and smile he gave me in Dublin…… :(

One of the songs he dedicated to Ruud Gullit who was in the audience, I can’t remember what song it was.

(and probably gave him the orange number 9 shirt he was wearing at the end of the show….I heard on tv the night before that Ruud G would try to get a shirt from Ruud Van Nistelrooy to give it to Robbie because he knew Robbie was such a big fan….)

 

 

:blink: The show ended at 11.00

Hann was feeling very sick so we waited a bit before we went outside to get something to eat and drink.

Then we drove to Tinks house where Mr. Tink was already waiting for us….he had even made our beds!!!!!!

We were sooooo tired that we went to bed right away and had some very SRD!!!!

 

After we woke up we had a shower , a coffee and a chat and then we drove back home again!!!!

1- Yes...he did Could It Be Magic after Back For good (well most of it anyway :rolleyes: )

2- He did Rude box at the end of Millenium (like he does Take A Walk....on thr end of Come Undone....)

What did Rude Box sound like? :unsure:

I dont even know how rude box sounds, not sure I heard it before :cry:

I can't believe they threated the people so bad while they were waiting for the concert :o

 

I just hate that arena more every day.

 

They don't allow you to take drinks inside.....had to throw my bottle of water away :arrr:

 

And when you buy some water at the bar you get a cup.....that's not very handy when you're bouncing :angry:
