May 21, 200916 yr when she says rock im thinking more in the lines of Battlefield type rock. or Run type. I'm so looking forward to this. Spirit was the perfect debut apart from the single releases being terribly managed and i hope this is a perfect follow up and hopefull the singles will have the right single release schedule. It looks as if her label are putting everything into this record to make it a success, so I'm hoping this release is managed better.
May 24, 200916 yr any more news because, they are planning on axing more AF forums so keep posting people.
May 24, 200916 yr any more news because, they are planning on axing more AF forums so keep posting people. I don't think we have anything to worry about. The forum has over 100 members and it's clearly not very active atm because there's not a lot to talk about. Once the new single and the second album is released things should speed up again. :) Besides, it's AFs like S Club 7 which should be axed IMO. :heehee:
May 24, 200916 yr Author Hopefully we won't get axed because we can't just invent news lol. It's not as quiet as last year when she was recording but still not much to discuss. We have the Capital concert in two weeks though (which I'm going to) so that's something. :D
May 24, 200916 yr While I think this is a fourm that should remain active, due to the large scale of popularity Leona has achieved, I do think less AF forums would create more traffic in the relevant forums (Pop, R&B/Hip Hop/Soul etc.). It's a strong argument. No new reports at the moment, unfortunately. If Twitter were not as popular as it is, we would have very little news. There's still a long way to go before a single or album release yet.
May 25, 200916 yr I have a good feeling we won't be axed, but this is the only topic used and there isn't much else.
May 28, 200916 yr Author May 28 2009 - Today’s Q&A with Leona Q Do you have any ideas or themes for your second album? A I’ve been working with some of the best producers over in LA and I’m so passionate about the new material and really pleased with the direction of the album. I’m really enjoying writing and being creative with the production of my music. I’m working on more guitar driven songs and live drums which is also very exciting. I can’t wait for you to hear it. http://www.leonalewismusic.co.uk/index.php..._qa_with_leona/ Can't wait! :D
June 3, 200916 yr Author Jun 03 2009 - It’s today’s Q&A Q: When you said the second album will have “more of a live feel to it”, what do you exactly mean by that? A: The feel of the album is slightly different - some of the tracks are more guitar based, but they are still very ‘me’ - I think my sound has just progressed and I’m really happy with the way things are sounding. http://www.leonalewismusic.co.uk/index.php.../its_todays_qa/
June 8, 200916 yr Leona Lewis has revealed that she is "more than halfway through" recording her new album. The X Factor star has laid down about 20 tracks for her follow-up to 2007's Spirit, due later this year. "I'm really, really positive about it. This far in, I'm feeling it even more [than last time]," she told DS. Lewis also confirmed that she has been working with Justin Timberlake on several tracks for the as-yet-untitled record. "He's so awesomely talented. He's been producing and he's got vocals on some my tracks too," she said. From DS
June 8, 200916 yr Author I bet Justin's just at the beginning or something like he is in a few of Esmee's songs.
June 9, 200916 yr Author LEONA LEWIS: I'LL TOUR FOR TWO YEARS LEONA Lewis is preparing a massive two-year world tour to accompany her next album. The record-breaking X Factor babe has yet to hit the road with her own music but she plans to put that right next year. Leona told the Daily Star: “I’ll be touring in 2010 and through to the year after. I just can’t wait.” The Hackney lass, 24, made her first live public appearance of 2009 in front of 55,000 people at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball at the weekend and she is looking forward to doing it again soon. She said: “Being back in London in front of so many people was like a homecoming and they sang along to every word. “It’s a really big buzz.” And Leona’s second album is already well under way in Los Angeles. She said: “I’ve recorded about 20 songs so far. I’d say it was half way there. “I’ve been flying back and forth to LA to record it. “The music has a different feel this time. It’s more of a live, heavier sound with a lot of real instruments. It’s something that I’ll be able to perform live.” Xenomania, Justin Timberlake, 28, Ryan Tedder, 29, Ne-Yo, 29, and Timbaland, 38, are rumoured to be working on new material with Leona. But she’s praying American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, 19, is the one name that will make it onto the finished album. Leona explained: “She’s a great person and I’ll do anything in my power to make sure our schedules allow us to work together.” One person she has not had time to hang out with is current X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, 20. She said: “I know she’s in LA recording her album as well right now but we haven’t bumped into each other yet. We’ll have to make some plans.” Spending so much time overseas means Leona doesn’t get to see her boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa as often as she’d like, but they are as strong as ever. She added: “We’ve been together so long now that all the travelling isn’t a problem.” Glad to hear it. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/playlist/view/8...-for-two-years/ Edited June 9, 200916 yr by Ethereal
June 9, 200916 yr Author Me too! I can't see it happening this era personally and her label might want to wait until Jordin's a bigger name (unfairly IMO) before taking a risk on a duet.
June 9, 200916 yr Author When she talks about a "live, heavier sound" and more "guitar-based", I bet it will be something like the arrangement of BIT at the Capital concert: y1Md7rB4fSg I really love the heavy guitar in the chorus. It goes really well with her voice and it's something unique and different. Artists similar to her can easily fall into the trap of making generic RnB but this should make her stand out again. :) Edited June 10, 200916 yr by Ethereal
June 10, 200916 yr I would love to see a duet with Jordin, but if it were to happen, it wouldn't be this era.
