November 14, 200816 yr rings no bells with me m8, although it should do, not much passed me by in that era...
November 16, 200816 yr how bizarre (as the Otara Millionaires Club may say) as i ended up buying two pale fountains cds in the sale the other week (tho was thinking of getting some more albums by Love tho I thought that Rhino would probs re-issue them with extras like they did with Forever Changes - but then again they seem to re-issue forever changes aboutn every two weeks or so). Also ended up buying a cd with Flaming Sword by Care on it...was my fave new song of the week!!! rings no bells with me m8, although it should do, not much passed me by in that era... how about Shack? do you know of the Head brothers from here or maybe you've come across some of the tales of their career before like losing the only album mastercopy in a taxi and record companies going bust and studios blowing up - cult underated Liverpudlian band and some would say actually preferable to the Gallaghers... (tho they have been recording for Noel's label).. also you might know them from being Arthur Lee's backing band for a while before he died....

November 17, 200816 yr I liked this song back in the day and it was on a compilation album I had from early 1983. I owned one single by them "Unless", which was more melancholic and has aged better than "Thank You". Unfortunately, unlike "Thank You" it was never even a minor hit. November 30, 200816 yr Great band (both the Pale Fountains and Shack). "Thank You" received a lot of airplay in late 1982 so it always reminds me of Christmas :)
