It's so fantastic/awful. It's so ridiculously self-righteous it almost puts me off altogether. Alas tonight was enjoyable enough, some nice touches on previous series' gone by (Sid's locker, mentionings of "how hot" Effy's bruvv was, I'm sure Tony was sat in a classroom at some point aswell?) but the whole slapstick comedy element was sickening. I don't see any need in farting down a microphone or a policeman wheeling himself, bicycle to boot, into a rubbish lorry. It's silly. I know Skins is largely taking the piss out of itself for the most part (YES I DO GET IT) but that's just downgrading and unneccessary.

 

Oh and considering the gay collective on here are ALREADY (a grand total of less than 2 hours after screening, congrats!) wanking themselves silly over Freddy I would very much like to take this opportunity to say that I REALLY WOULD SHAG BOTH THE TWINS. AT ONCE. P-h-i-t-t pls <33

I've never been huge on Skins but I do watch it fro mtime to time. The chemistry between these characters was all wrong and I just felt like it totally ruined the show.

Very impressed with the first episode actually and i nearly didnt watch it. Loving Freddy, The Twins and strangely Pandorra aswell.

Ive got to say i was a bit worried at the beginning with the policeman chase and then the policeman going into the truck but they did turn it around. Tis very good though. Hate Freddie BLEUGH. Effy is fit <3 LOL @ Pandora with the Surf and Turf :lol: Ive got to say though, the rest of the series looks very good. 7/10

It was a lot better than I thought it would be. Some proper lame and childish stuff in it like, but I thought it was pretty decent.

 

The characters seem alright, hopefully they'll reveal more to them as they go on. Gotta say the best character by a counrty mile is Cook though (I think that's his name). A lot of people at college were slagging it off today saying it was rubbish, and it wasn't brilliant, but it was still good.

Naomi is blatez the Jal of this series i.e the only one who can act properly and looks to be the most interesting. It wasn't bad for an opening episode, I hope for better once the series progresses.

 

 

I thought Cook was more attractive than Freddy. Except his odd-shaped teeth. He seemed a lot like Chris tho. But the tattoo scenriro was hilarious!

I quite liked it, JJ is so cute bless him. Effy is gorgeous :heart: Freddie is fiiiit, I think it's gonna be ace :wub:

I cannot believe what I am reading. 'Ave a word, guys.

Freddie seems a bit like a knob. What Jake said about him being the new Maxxie is quite true. The 'eye candy' (?!) and he has a talent like Maxxie too. Cook just beats him to a pulp though. Cook's everything Freddie wants to be.

I personally found the headteacher quite hilarious with her raged mutterings and looks of disgust at the other teachers.

That shy scared teacher made me laugh aswell.

The episode was very hit & miss though overall.

I'll end up liking all the characters as i always do, but i cant help but think how unrealistic it is at the same time.

 

That bit with the deaf girl was quite hilarious to, how that women spoke in monotone for her :lol:

I liked it. I thought it was pretty funny - especially the assembly scene.

 

 

Glad this has got such a positive response, thought it was wicked.. the kids more so than the teachers who were way OTT.. the farting thing was just ridiculous, but I thought the young cast were great.

 

Love quiet twin, Emily, just for looking like Kate Nash. Love Pandora. Think the combination of the three main lads is ace too as JJ is so different, moreso than Sid and Tony were.

 

Effy is... captivating. Annoying, but sexy.

I think Skins is better this way in which i mean starting where the characters dont really know each other and they slowly become mates/enemies etc. Rather than everyone already knowing each other very much like season 1.
