I sort of agree Jake, but I think some of them have chemistry and I think that'll grow with time anyway. It was a 7/10 episode when I was expecting a 6/10 one, so moan I shalln't.

Well, that was completely awful wasn't it?

I'd give it at the highest a 4/10. Seriously, one of the worst shows I've sat through. If it doesn't get better in two episodes, I'm giving up. It was CRINGEWORTHY, that bad.

Though I may stick with it for the twins + Pandora + Naomi who are interesting. Still, it seems so impersonal. I don't really know anything about these characters. I don't really care about them. Even Naomi who's my favorite.

All of the male characters on this season are, truly terrible. Freddie just stands around and does nothing, completely FLAT, emotionless character. Cook is obnoxious to the point where I'd rather him just not be on the show at all. JJ's just freakin' weird, though strangely enough I like him the best out of the three just because there is a slight sense of realism to his awkwardness (though I've never met anyone this completely odd, plus the actor portrays him quite robotic).

Naomi is easily the best on this season, as a character and an actor. I hope more develops between her + the twins as it's the only thing I really care about at the moment. =/

I find Cook a bit much if I'm honest, there's 'out there' and then there's just proper unbelievableness.

Youd be surprised :( I used to hang out with someone like him. Thank god i cut him out of my life. But Cook i could handle. The dude was just on another planet :manson:

Freddie needs to be shot like  Just so boring. JJ is more entertaining

Effy makes me

This episode was alright. I thought it to be a bit touch and go at times but  @ Pandora eating the "drugs"

Id give it a 6 or 7/10

The whole of episode two just lacked any direction I think. It just was never going anywhere. Every aspect of it was awkward, throwing the people together, the birthday event, the lack of any cut scenes didn't help either. It also felt like there were too many young people going to older people type events. Get them bloody raving like they would be.

I suppose there could be some explanation as to why Cook is so...extreme in later episodes, the mother cussing was interesting, making him really react. Knowing Skins though they won't build on that at all. An episode for the bin then.

Episode three looks much better. Pandora has a significant role and fingers crossed much better writing, the basic outline for 3.03 is vastly superior to the flimsy 3.02 epi.

JJ's just freakin' weird, though strangely enough I like him the best out of the three just because there is a slight sense of realism to his awkwardness (though I've never met anyone this completely odd, plus the actor portrays him quite robotic).

I think as a criticism this is truly ODD. Robotic? He has that sense of awkwardness wrapped up SO well. I think to get that across you have to be a really good actor. And he is...

Last nights episode wasnt great, a bit boring really.

Looks like they are gonna continue with this gangster character, which im not looking forward too as next weeks episode looks a bit $h!t.

But someone said that the week after will be a pandora focused episode so im sure that that will be when the series picks up again.

I do agree though that the person who plays Cook is a good actor, but i just cant warm to the character.

Nope :P

Cassie = Best Character to ever grace 'Skins' :P

Cassie was one of my favorites during the first season but in the second she got so bloody annoying. Pandorra is much better IMO.

If this was Cook's episode then :| Although, I expect it to lead into next week's making him have 1 1/2 episodes! Noooo!

Anyway, I think the episode was quite good, Cook can be quite annoying but he has some form of depth, with the whole 'schizo' thing going on, getting really angry at JJ then calming down and going to Freddies shed saying he 'loves him to bits etc...'? He needs to be developed a bit more, it just wasnt shown very well in this episode.

I cant wait for the twins/naomi/pandora/effys episodes they all look like they're going to be the best, especially Naomi; we haven't heard her say much or do much in the two episodes apart from telling Cook to "f*** off!" in EP1 induction at college haha! But she plays it so well, creating a mysteriousness to her.. hmmm

Who's episode is it next week, I couldn't really tell?

The new boy Thomas.

Cook is my favourite character, but I feel they could have done so much more with his character. The actor who plays him is the most accomplished actor imo and they could have done a lot more with him. But they touched on his family, and I am v.sure they're gonna come back to it and show us why he is like he is.

I'm REALLY surprised at the criticism! I enjoyed it a lot more than episode one. I did loud LOL's (for want of a better phrase) quite a few times during the episode, admittedly most at Pandora saying 'I've decided I love drugs' or w/e, and then downing them.

I am not really understanding the criticism of Cook. You don't like him, but that's the POINT, no? When he was eating all the cake, we were meant to feel disgusted, when he downed that first pint when the girls arrived at the party in total silence, we were meant to feel embarrassed for him and we were generally meant to think throughout the episode that this guy is a total cock. We were meant to feel tired of him, as Freddie did. And you all do, so I think he did a bloody good job. I also think there was a tiny air of 'oh, but he's just a cheeky chappie' at the end when he got $h!t scared by the 'gunshots' of the bike, shat himself, laughed it off and sang his song. Like a tiny little at the end of the likeable tunnel. I think he acted it very well.

I am not a fan of the gangster charactetrs ever (unless we're talking proper hard films like Snatch), and I really didn't want to see MacKenzie Crook like that, but I loved the fight scene, how it was the greens against the whites etc. And Cook just in the middle laughing.

I might watch it again to remember what else I laughed at. I'd been at work for 17 horus beforehand and I've forgotten it all!

I was really shocked about the Naomi/ Emily revelation! :o

Didn't see that one coming!

I didn't think it was as good as the 1st episode but it wasn't bad at all imo. Pandora and Effy are my favourites so far

I'd already guessed that, but it wasn't revealed in Cook's epi was it?
I'd already guessed that, but it wasn't revealed in Cook's epi was it?

 I thought quite a few people might have guessed it, but I didn't!

When Naomi was about to leave Cook's 'party' and Emily followed, Naomi said something like "Why does everyone think I'm the lesbian?"

I don't think that was necessarily a revelation.. I think you're probably right but that could have been implied about Emily (as she was talking to her) OR Katie (as she was talking about her)... so you never know!
I suppose, but because it was Naomi/ Emily that kissed, I just guessed that it was Emily who had kissed Naomi and not the other way around - which is what Emily had originally told Katie...
Two girls kissed?! Was I really that tired? I had to leave the room at one point, but I totally missed that!?
