Rachel Stevens may decide to make another attempt at breaking Hollywood after completing work on Strictly Come Dancing, according to a report.

The former S Club singer put her pop career on hold in 2005 and relocated to the US amid reports that she wanted to secure a movie deal.

Sources have now suggested that Stevens was left disappointed by a lack of work offers and decided to use Strictly to relaunch her career this year.

"She always used to turn her nose up at reality TV but, after turning down offers from more downmarket stuff like Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity, Rachel figured she had nothing to lose by doing Strictly Come Dancing," one insider told the Daily Mail.

"Having to come back from Hollywood with her tail between her legs was a blow to her ego, but she realised that she needs to scale down her ambitions a bit. I wouldn't count Rachel out of the Hollywood game just yet. She's committed to having another go and realises that as long as she works hard, all she needs is one lucky break."

Stevens found herself in the bottom two on Strictly for the first time last weekend, but she was saved after the judges decided to send home Heather Small.

Big mistake in my view, she should stick to what she is known for and singing.

i'd defs like to see her do music, but i really cant blame her for trying acting... coz with the illegal downloads crippling the music industry, its harder to earn from roaylties asscociated with record sales....

If she sung new material live in performances, she could probably become an established artist - that was all the went wrong with C&GI, she was never taken seriously.

Who gives a stuff about chart positions (except record companies :() - C&GI is still my favourite pop album of this decade so far, the quality of the material and its critical acclaim speaks for itself. Chart positions shouldn't have to mean anything when you're producing music as sleek and fantastic as Rachel did with C&GI.

would love to see her release new material, and would probably do pretty well off the back of Strictly
