But we can report that far from misplacing his marbles, the Robster has found a heart of gold. The hairy warbler :rolleyes: is putting a roof over the head of the bloke who played the robot in his favourite sci-fi TV series, Lost In Space. Veteran actor Bob May is living at Robbie’s LA gaff after he lost his own home in the California wildfires last weekend. A spokesman for the snowy-haired cyborg, 69, said: “Along with his home, he lost all of his memorabilia. “He hopes to have all his fans’ thoughts and prayers while dealing with this unfortunate turn of events.” His No 1 fan, 34-year-old Robbie, obediently fell to his knees and prayed to the little green men for the chance to have the leathery android in his home. And although the pair had never met before, he got his wish and the well-oiled actor packed his charred bags and headed to Williams Towers. Our blabbering nerd wrapped himself in BacoFoil and explained: “As a sci-fi enthusiast, Robbie is obsessed with aliens and robots. He grew up watching Bob in Lost In Space and doesn’t live far from the actor’s family and friends. “So he kindly offered up his home, while Bob sorts himself out. Bob’s family are also huge fans of Robbie’s. The man himself was stunned and touched by the gesture. “He thought everybody had forgotten about him and couldn’t believe Robbie was a fan.” But by Jupiter :o did Bob believe, when he heard Robbie’s song, Man Machine. The ditty is an ode to the actor and includes a reference to the legendary 60s telly series in the line: “How you gonna breathe when you’re Lost In Space?” The question for Bob was: “How you gonna breathe when you’re lost in a rambling mansion full of mildly disconcerting posters of yourself?” Our source tactfully said: “Bob was impressed by Robbie’s memorabilia from the TV show. There were posters of himself he hadn’t seen before.” We wonder if he’ll mind having Blu-Tack on his back and being pressed onto Robbie’s bedroom wall? :wub: :wub: :wub:

But ....... let's NOT forget Rob is die-hard cynical himself and he likes to play games on his own terms ;) It's easy to see his actions through a veil of LOVE ;)
