Holy crap (C4) episode how tense was that in the pub when Gilly returned.

I can't wait until the story is played and the climax will be amazing regardless, I hope it's revealed Gilly did rape her after all.

I'm not sure how I feel about the new Freshers. Ash seems ok but she looks like she has terrible teeth. And if the story of Will and Theresa is going the way I think it's going, it looks incredibly clichéd and probably been done a million times before in Soap Land.

Former Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn has revealed that she would not rule out a future return to the soap.

 

The actress recently bowed out from her role as Mandy Richardson after almost a year back in the part.

 

Dunn told OK Extra of her decision to leave: "Hollyoaks is a huge part of my life. But I felt I'd taken the character as far as possible and now I want to try my hand at different things.

 

"I've just been for an exciting audition, but I don't want to tempt fate by talking about it. If it comes off, it'll be amazing!"

 

Speaking further about leaving Hollyoaks, she continued: "When I was asked to come back on the show, I felt Mandy had a much darker side to her. The writers gave me some fantastic storylines with Warren Fox and I really had something to get my teeth into.

 

"But it's time to move on. This is my third time returning to the show. In 2008, I came back for a six-month stint and I originally played Mandy for 10 years before taking a break. I'll always come back if the storylines are strong enough, but at the moment I want to pursue other things."

 

Hollyoaks fans recently saw Mandy reunite with ex-husband Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard), but events later took an unexpected turn when she changed her mind - dumping her on-off partner by letter and leaving the village.

 

Move on with your life please. Just don't come back to the Oaks.

Hollyoaks star Joel Goonan has announced that he will be leaving the show.

 

The 21-year-old wrote on Twitter that he had filmed his final scenes as Gaz Bennett for the Channel 4 soap.

 

"So that's it," he wrote. "Cast/crew old and new gunna miss u all, had 3 top years and learned a lot! Much love! (sic)"

 

He later posted to his followers: "Thanks for all your messages x hopefully be in something else soon, fingers crossed."

 

Goonan made his first appearance as the Hollyoaks villain back in November 2008.

 

He briefly left the soap in 2010 when Gaz was wrongly imprisoned for the murder of Calvin Valentine (Ricky Whittle), before making his on-screen return in January.

 

Recent plots have seen Gaz strike up a romance with Heidi Costello (Kim Tiddy) and put her son Seth (Miles Higson) in hospital after selling him illegal steroids.

Honestly cannot believe what Hollyoaks has become :( It's like Grange Hill or something.

Freshers week was unbelievably dull. Isn't the wedding this week?

Right I've only seen Monday's ep from fresher's week - do I need to catch up? Did anything happen with any of the good (older) characters? Can somebody surmise for me what happened with Jacqui/Rhys and Carmel/Fuckable Father Francis?

Jacqui/Rhys have gone on a break and Carmel walked in on Father Francis kissing Cindi. That's pretty much it. I didn't pay much attention though.

I think he gave that up. I think the intention was to either tell Carmel the truth or going away together and pretend like he's given up being a priest. Can't remember how he started to kiss Cindy though?

I think I'll watch the week's eps but just the Carmel/FF/Cindy bits because I do like their perverse little set up. He's the worst conman EVER because he actually does seem genuinely lovely but he's just so easy on the eye. So very pretty. And Carmel the nun is always amazing comedy value.

I don't understand why Hollyoaks do this, they are freaking amazing and the ratings go up to 1.7m and overall 2.4m then they give us the freshers which results in the ratings being around 900,000.

Well It's been confirmed that

Jason Costello is also leavinng! This leaves Seth,Riley & Carl. I wanted Heidi to stay! Costello's were my favorite family!

 

Pete Is also leaving! So this means still to depart from our screens are Duncan,Pete,Lee,Warren,Heidi,Silas,Jason

will be leaving. There's only so far they can take that storyline.

Wedding will air on the 17th. I've never been so excited for a wedding before.

Loved tonights scenes with Michaela and Amy. I'm so glad they remembered how close they were!

Who do we think is behind Gilly's hate crime? I literally have no idea.
