January 2, 200916 yr i'll add Catherine Tate to the list :heehee: Those memories could come floating back, in one of the last DT specials before series 5.
January 3, 200916 yr It's obviously going to be Dame Judi. Heart herrr. :o OMFG How immense would that be!!
January 3, 200916 yr I saw an advert for this after EastEnders. :heehee: It said it will be on at 5:35 pm.
January 3, 200916 yr I have never heard of Matt Smith in my life before but if it is a choice of Matt Smith or Patterson Joseph then there is no contest to me Same with any white male on that list, no black Dr Who and no woman Dr Who please, the traditional values of Dr Who for the last half century need to be upheld

January 3, 200916 yr Looking at Betfair.com odds and how they have rapidly developed I think it sadly not going to be Patterson Joseph. However it looks very likely that is someone else that Billie Piper has acted with on more than occasion: Matt Smith 4/6 odds on fav (from 7/1 this morning; 25/1 yesterday & no odds the day before!!!!!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Smith_(British_actor) http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/new...26/Matt-Smith/# Patterson Joseph 11/8 (from 1/3 fav odds on this morning) Chiwetel Ejiofor 11/4 Jack Davenport 4/1 (from 14/1 this morning) Ben Wishaw 10/1 Rusell Tovey 14/1 Rhys Ifans 16/1 David Morrisey 20/1 Billie Piper 20/1 James Nesbitt 20/1 Tom Chambers 25/1 John Simms 25/1 33/1 Bar If it is Matt Smith then I'm not going to be a happy chappy come this time tomorrow, as it would mean they've gone for the youngest ever Doctor (aged 26) with plenty of good looks to keep the females happy but acting wise he is too reminiscent of a Hollyoaks actor for my liking to play the part of the Doctor. Patterson Joseph would have been a vastly superior choice IMHO. So fingers crossed it is Patterson Joseph & Matt Smith is a plausible 11th hour decoy spoiler (i.e. RTD & the crew are having a laugh at the internet anorak fans expense), so that most Who-ovians can raise a huge sigh of relief when Patterson is announced tomorrow. After seeing Colin Salmon looking rather glum when being asked about the next Dr Who on Soccer AM and confirming it is not him and saying the next Doctor is "A Surprise": Latest Betfair.com odds: Matt Smith 2/9 Fav Patterson Joseph 4/1 Chiwetel Ejiofor 7/1 James Nesbitt 12/1 Aiden Gillen 25/1 David Morrisey 25/1 Jack Davenport 33/1 50/1 Bar
January 3, 200916 yr Alan Davies and James McAvoy have been thrown into the mix as well. Actually Alan Davies would be perfect for a Dr. Who role after his appearance on Jonathan Creek
January 3, 200916 yr Alan Davies would be very good With his hair and everything he could easily be the slightly wacky middle aged eccentric that Dr Who was in the golden era, would be good choice
January 3, 200916 yr the BBC have said it 'could be a woman'. Although that's probably just to wind the fanboys up  Doesn't D.Tennant say on the advert that he's 'very jealous of the chap' who's going to have all the fun larking about etcz? So presumably is a man?
January 3, 200916 yr Whoever replaces him I'm probably going to be disappointed as I think Tennant is brilliant. but we shall see
January 3, 200916 yr I have never heard of Matt Smith in my life before but if it is a choice of Matt Smith or Patterson Joseph then there is no contest to me Same with any white male on that list, no black Dr Who and no woman Dr Who please, the traditional values of Dr Who for the last half century need to be upheld Traditional values being that an alien that can regenerate into anything possible only ever regenerates into a white male? :manson:
January 3, 200916 yr Traditional values being that an alien that can regenerate into anything possible only ever regenerates into a white male? :manson: Dr Who has ALWAYS been that way Tyron, there is no reason to change Dr Who after almost half a century, if it ain't broke don't fix it
January 3, 200916 yr Dr Who has ALWAYS been that way Tyron, there is no reason to change Dr Who after almost half a century, if it ain't broke don't fix it Im sorry but i find your opinion ridicolous

Or the President of the United States should always be a white male (from 1789 - 2009 it was). Maybe you think Afro-Carribbeans should still all be slaves & owned by the white man. Because after all that was the case for 200-300 years bringing massive prosperity to many European countries including the UK, so if it aint broke why fix it? By the way Matt Smith is now 1/15 odds on fav.

You can't compare those situations Rich, those changes bar the Hamilton one were bought about by PUBLIC demand and democracy, I have not seen any mass public demand for Dr Who to turn black after half a century, the others were all bought about by public demand, I have not seen any media demands or political demands or tabloid campaign or anything that facillitates public demand for there to be a black or female Dr Who
