Bagsy a "Worst Song" Contest. :w00t:

To find something so awful yet like a car crash you just have to listen to it again to believe it.

Oh no not another spin off, I already had something planned for BJSC14, can we have the spin off after BJSC14, every 3 competitions makes better sense.
I reckon if James wants to take part in the spin off he'd make a good host AFTER ALL, he does do pretty much all the recaps, he should host something.

I completely agree, I do think it's unfair that he's relied upon to do all of the recaps

hosts should do it themselves really, it's all part and parcel of the experience, but it's very good of James to offer to do it, because I find it to be a b*tch of a job...on the bright side, you get to know every song inside out

I think the rules on that will be a bit hard to define. Do we vote for the actual worst songs? In which case, why would anyone want to subject themselves to at least 20 dreadful songs and judge which is the worst? or is the object to find a bad song that's good because it's bad?

I agree. :kink:

He kinda is relied upon to make them but he does seem rather willing to do it month after month, as does Tom. Recaps were meant to be like the only down side of hosting but now you don't even have to do that as host. That said, I don't mind making the recaps as I made them for the VII and went back and made proper recaps for VI and IV.

recaps is a job I have a love/hate relationship with

I HATE Windows Movie Maker but I love getting to know the songs inside out

Oh yeah, getting to know the songs is good though I usually tried to listen out for the chorus. Windows Movie Maker was alright to use for me, though I don't know if I could handle using actual video clips.

Possibly, we shall see how things pan out :drama:

I found making the recaps in BJSC II pretty easy (if time-consuming...) actually, although I actually had the faculty of WMM at the time so I can't repeat it now  It was quite nice getting to know the songs inside out, but seeing as the contest was so cheap I already knew about half of them already :(

It's not all that hard, it's just VERY VERY time consuming downloading ALL of the videos ;_; And a real download-capacity hog as well for that matter :heehee:

You can still use it in BJSC XIV! And given that February is so short, it would probably only end up putting BJSC XIV back by a week or two, as it would be in the first half of March so that it doesn't end up clashing with Eurovision in May ;)

It would be the former - and would be quite amusing :heehee: It would be an experience and a half, and would be interesting to see if people hate Westlife because they're awful or because they're bland :o

I agree. :kink:

You would -_- It would only have the effect of possibly one or two countries going off their MGP acquisitions :P

As anyone thought of adding them as a playlist on youtube, its probably a lot easier than putting a video together, still have to figure how its done though.

Well, he does volunteer to do it in exchange for a little confidential insider information (which is essential for the job...), so to speak :P

I do make sure I get to know all the songs intimately however! ^_^ I just can't use WMM or download videos on school computers so it really does rule out making recaps completely

I don't see recaps ever being completely abandoned tbh...

Really not all that fussed about a male spin-off. I'd probably end up sending Phixx LOL.

In which case I can't see that many people going for it. As I said, why would people want to subject themselves to 20-30 purposely awful songs, possibly multiple times, to judge?

Of course, I guess if people really want to use those songs they'd wait until April anyway. Oh well, I'm sure they 'wont be my thing'. -_-

Pfft, I'd totally do the recaps for inside info. Not that anyone would want my recaps anyway.

BJSC wouldn't be the same without recaps Martin :o it's one of the best things!

Windows Movie Maker tries my patience when you try to drag a clip back into another one to make it fade and it just stops working altogether, or goes to a blank screen, or cuts out the sound altogether...

basically it's just annoying

and as Trash said, downloading the videos is just a bit time consuming too, especially when Rontvia, Kathaldazia, Kopecka and Eledan keep changing their confirmed entries :heehee:

Which is why I would advise prospective video makers to wait until the end to download the videos :heehee: Although I did think that Quotosibb's idea of using coloured backgrounds instead was a nice idea, but we haven't really had much evidence of video bias tbh...although I don't think Quicksand's amazing video harmed its chances of victory at all :kink:

I'm not sure about videos but when I do it I just right click each sound clip and select 'Fade In' then right click again and select 'Fade Out'. No troubles. ^_^

I tried downloading the videos when Boyan sent me the guide but it got boring after about two videos. -_-

You never know, it could be quite a laugh :heehee:

And I could see you going for some of the songs in the MGP :o I reckon you'd like Velvet, Foxy and Sichelle, possibly TDA as well ;o

Oh yes my idea...more like a lazy excuse for not bothering to download the videos and to get MP3 files for myself at the same time. I still like my way best though but I rarely use recaps.

A laugh, yes, but whether people will seriously take the time to participate I don't know.

I do kinda like TDA and Foxy but whether I feel like voting for them is a different matter. :teresa:
