Yeah but this is not the case I promise you. Bjorn and Benny told us. It is something that sounds like Lescos. Colin Berry on BBC Radio could tell me the answer. But it definately ain`t Glasgow. Although the lyrics you find across the web say it is...I`m thinking possibly Lemesjo? I must get in touch with Colin.

If you think about it. Why on earth would they say Glasgow...they`d probably never been there!

I'm a huge Abba fan and love the song but tbh always thought it strange that they sang Glasgow!!

Kinda the only thing that rhymes with "last show" though?

I know the ABBA writer Carl Magnus Palm. I've E-mailed him about the 'Glasgow'

matter, & here is his reply:,

They are definitely singing Glasgow , whatever Björn and Benny may or may not have told the BBC Radio people at the time. Also, Björn has discussed the choice of “ Glasgow ” for the lyrics in at least one fairly recent interview.

And as for them not having been in Glasgow , ABBA had played there twice (in 1977 and 1979) by the time the Super Trouper lyrics were written.

Me again - ABBA did 2 Concerts in Glasgow:,

1977 Tour - Apollo Theatre - February 12th

1979 Tour - Apollo Theatre - November 13th

If there was a post of the year on Pulse, zeus should be awarded it. Now that's amazingly definitive answer!

Well Carl Magnus Palm knows his $h!t!
