Slayer & Dragonforce are awesome. :o I heard Korn are working on a new album for next year to.

Tbh not excited about many albums for '09 (altho I secretly can't wait for the new Aerosmith album. :kink:  )

News of a new Slayer album is good.... Also, Lacuna Coil and Rammstein are gonna be getting their arses in gear for '09, so looking forward to that...

ahh yes Rammstein are another one, although Rosenrot was a bit $h!t, hopefully they are better now.
Look forward to Slayer's new album, Christ Illusion was a good album and i love God Hates Us All
Deftones?

Hmmmm, probably a bit too soon, wasn't the last on in '07...? They can take years over an album.... Still, it's usually bloody good when they DO put an album out....

Lacuna Coil is going to be huge no matter if the new album will be a letdown or not. Also, their competing lookalike bands (Within Temptation etc) aren't releasing till 2010, although WT could realistically have a release late next year, maybe another brilliant EP. Also looking forward to Ramz's LOG etc but more so for Sirenia (:heehee: female fronted metal ftw), really want to see how their new lead singer does as their last one is one of my all time FFM singers. . She was amaze. So Lacuna Coil is the main one, 4/5 years ago was their last album. .which is more than enough time to put together an outstanding one. Flyleaf's 'Christian-like' EP was quite $h!t, so if their new album is going to be released I'd rather choke than to hear it. Their 1st album is out of this world great, but anyways my favs tend to always go downhill from when I start liking them. This year was awesome. . Metallica, Slipknot, Rise Against were all flawless. Not much big metal acts for 09? MCR are hinting a release in 09, which should please Chris and Grimly :o

That's a bit out of context, MCR are'nt a punk or metal band.

Oh yeah i just remembered Billy Talents 4th album is getting released in 2009 and Sum 41 are gonna do a metal influenced EP which will prob be a let down. :(

i have only just found out that One Day As A Lion are planning a full album release, most likley to be released in the earlier parts of next year.

for those who dont know One Day As A Lion are a band cosisting of Zack De La Rocha from Rage Against The Machine and Jon Theodore from The Mars Volta.

they released an EP this year, it's rather good.

Iron Maiden, Megadeth, The Answer, Trouble and Deliverance are all hoping to get out new albums this year.
Looking forward to new ones from Iron Maiden, Rammstein and Europe!
My Dying Bride and Anathema!

Excellent.... LOVE these bands, been especially wanting a new Anathema album for ages, their last one was about 5 years ago..... Paradise Lost possibly with a new one in '09 (prob too soon for them though..) would make it a Yorkshire Doom/Goth Metal hat-trick.....
