December 22, 200816 yr Why couldnt it be a million seller. If its a good song, for charity and from two bands whose recent singles have sold over 650k combined?
January 27, 200916 yr Apparently it’s going to be the Mr Men now… ergh! so much for keeping consecutive #1's for COmic Relief!
January 28, 200916 yr I found this article about it, apparently Mr Men are official http://www.fundraising.co.uk/news/2008/12/...s-2009-campaign For those that don't know them, they are a part of a series of cartoons created in the 70s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GnOh8Dipoc
January 29, 200916 yr Nothing in that above article suggests anything about Mr. Men doing the Comic Relief single... It only says that Mr. Men are the THEME of this years campaign. With a new story being written with the proceeds going to CR. I definitely don't believe they'll be doing the single...
January 29, 200916 yr The Saturdays are doing it - confirmed today. Good, that means GA can have the 3rd single from OOC. I'm not sure this would have worked anyway, GA have said they wont release covers anymore and take that dont strike me as the sort to release covers. I know CR doesnt have to be a cover but it usually is. The saturdays song does sound good though.
January 29, 200916 yr Author I hate The Saturdays from now on :( I really wanted them and TT to do it together :( They better released a 3rd single off OCC then.
January 29, 200916 yr TBH im very pleased with The Sats doing it instead. I really didnt want a GA/TT colab.
January 29, 200916 yr I heard from someone that a 3rd single from OOC was almost definately happening but they didnt know what to choose yet. This was just after TLK charted.
January 29, 200916 yr TBH im very pleased with The Sats doing it instead. I really didnt want a GA/TT colab. I think they are both too busy with their own album campaigns.
January 29, 200916 yr I'm a bit gutted now that it isn't GA. I thought that could have been an excellent collaboration. I'm still excited to hear what The Sats will offer though. Edited January 29, 200916 yr by Colin
January 30, 200916 yr the saturdays don't have, imo, the "punch" that a big charity hit single requires, but i will be looking forward to hearing the single they will release.
January 30, 200916 yr The sats really remind me of how GA started out. But GA have already done a lot of charity singles.
