I think we should all come together to think of ideas for The Libertines forum.

 

We had a good little time when me and Nicky tried to revive the forum a while ago, but now it has gone down again and now were just doing B+I's.

 

We need something that may get more members involved, it says we have something like 25 members but we never have more than about 4 people in a month in here.

 

So i think we should try to come up with some idea's together to get more members involved and make this forum more than just B+I's.

 

 

Well there ain't THAT much news at the moment apart from the last DPT gigs but yeah I think we're all being hypcritical going on about how forums survive on B+Is while we're doing that ourselves. -_- Pete has a solo album next year so hopefully more news will filter through. I've still got many things which I need to add to the artist page so that'd help more members find this place.

exactly that is what i was sort of thinking which lead to this topic, i love our little Libertines community but as with every other artist forum it's all B+I's we need some more thread ideas, or new topics for discussion, maybe something that could get non-libertine fans to give their opinon so we have more than one side.

 

what do you have in mind for the artist page? i could share the work load of creating and adding.

Well I'm juggling it with the Arctics but I'm first trying to write biographies (with my own words so we can say it's our version) but the problem is with google in mind I'm thinking of writing seperate ones for each bands with a link at the bottom of each one to the next one and maybe even a section about Pete. The bottom of the page may look like this for example:

 

After Pete was kicked out of the band Carl, John and Gary finished the rest of the tour on their own

Unfortunately links don't seem to work on artist pages at the moment which is strange. :unsure:

 

Also I was thinking about the timeline for the band which would branch into individual timelines. I'd either back it up with videos or have another page that has videos of key moments and memerable performances (or we could link to the threads which you posted of the live gigs)

 

What do you think? Have any good ideas yourself?

I think maybe a offical video's page could work well, or maybe a link to the thread, the mulriple band biographies is a good idea too, it's just getting them written :lol: i am happy to write some though. I think the timeline is a very good idea to and maybe a memoble performances page with links to the live posts, i could try to add more performance posts too.

Yeah the performances page could be done but it may use the same videos which I'd back up the history with :lol:

 

Btw Horror Show at the Rhythm Factory is a must :wub:

I'll finish what I'm doing at the moment and find what I mean just before the Chelsea game restarts ;)
