I wonder how far we'd need to go back to find a TOTP episode with almost 8 million vehicles? Ok it was over 2 showings and 1 was a "revised repeat" but it just shows that the format isn't dead - it just needs the right slot in the schedule. I'm surprised that TOTP2 doesn't appear on our screens more regularly (excluding Dave repeats) as it must be a relatively cheap show to make and all we seem to hear about are BBC budget cutbacks, and the figures for that are fairly impressive also.
