'20 Golden Greats' by Diana Ross & The Supremes, was No.1 for 7 Weeks

in 1977. It was the 3rd Best Seller of 1977. I bet that sold at least 850,000

to 900,000.

Rub, i know this isn't the right forum page to ask, but do you by any chance have the sales of Avril Lavigne's three albums and singles?
GA's TSOGA is more like 910,000 up to yesterday. Sold a rather impressive 77,000 in the last 10 weeks alone.
  • 4 weeks later...

Everyone always forgets them, but they were deemed most successful Girlgroup ever in their day, but i think the Spices and All Saints completely blew their recognition out the water when they came along....

They had 15 Top40s, including 15 top 20s, 12 Top10s, 7 Top5s, 2 Top3s, and 1 No1.

Best Selling Single was their No1, 601k (as end 2005), and their Debut Album shifted over 1 million copies (the first all-female act to achieve this)

ETERNAL! I hope some of you are old enough to remember

Eternal <333

Also gotta spread some love for B*Witched and their four number 1s and massive flop 2nd album :heehee:

Eternal had the odd good tune.

I did love B*Witched though. <3 BRING 'EM BACK!

What's going to happen now that Sound Of: Greatest Hits is out of the chart being a budget album? Do we get any further sales or do they get counted at all now?

WOW look at the sales of the Spice Girls singles I didn't realise they were so close to million sellers and they sold so many records, that is amazing it would be so good for them to get back again though for one last massive gig at Wembley and get those other singles million sellers

I wonder who will be the highest placed girl band of 2009.

Will it be Girls Aloud, can they sustain the level of high sales?

Will it be Sugababes, can they get back in form and be the best sellers?

Will it be The Saturdays, can they continue their rise of success and come back with an amazing second album?

Will it be The Pussycat Dolls, can the American band beat the best of the brits?

Will it be a new girl band?

I rekon it will be between GA and the Babes with the babes edging out GA by the smallest of margins, although i hope the Sats can be up there aswell.

I'm trying to read if you're being sarcastic are not, its really hard on a forum to recognise (if you are not being sarcastic, then where were you in 2007?)

GA have the xfactor, the sugababes gave GA and the xfactor to contend with - end of.

it will come down to GA v. The Saturdays this year, I think.

Out Of Control will sell at least some 150k more, then tour and possibly a new album by the end of the year
