It's deceptive beauty and warmth almost tricks the listener into thinking this is a happy anthem, particularly with the very warming strings at parts of this; rather than a very dark song over a failed suicide attempt as a result of lost love, a topic that particularly struck a chord with me due to family circumstances just a couple of months before I heard this song. As soon as I fully interpreted the lyrics properly I just fell in love with the track, and it's been very emotionally stimulating ever since, and become one of the few tracks that I simply cannot skip. I'm quite disgusted really that this only reached number 10 in the UK charts; especially given that it's probably the greatest thing Goldfrapp have ever, and will ever do. Frankly stunning stuff.
